EUROVISION 2026: BLOGILKAR'S HOME JURY RESULTS - 8th TO 11th

Here it is, already traditional Blogilkar's Eurovision Home Jury results. This year we had a total of nine people in the jury from teenagers to 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s, most every one just people who do watch Eurovision but aren't any fanatic fans, just tv viewers who don't remember who won two years ago or sometimes even last year, don't have a clue about the polls and odds but just score the songs to their liking. We used 1 to 10 scores. Tie breaks were settled by highest marks and if still a tie by my preference. Here we go! 8. GREECE - AKYLAS - FERTO    53 9. ESTONIA - VANILLA NINJA - TOO EPIC TO BE TRUE    52 10. FRANCE - MONROE - REGARDE    51 11. AUSTRALIA - DELTA GOODREM - ECLIPSE    50

EUROVISION 2026: SWITZERLAND, ALBANIA AND AUSTRALIA REVIEW

I wasn't planning on doing personal reviews this year either but here we go after all. Truth to be said I have listened the entries 0-2 times before sitting down now to comment them. Let's go! The usual Blogilkar's home jury will reunite later and the results revealed in due time. meanwhile, my thoughts and comments on the entries of Eurovision song contest series is right here.  Switzerland - Veronica Fusaro - Alice ** Now this one's a tricky one. First listening (or rather just a bit of it when it was published) left me rather unimpressed but now listening it properly it's quite interesting. Different for sure, somewhat memorable. But then again we don't have any live performance (when writing this) so how this be staged; just simple rock act or a circus act with dancers and artsy nonsense? If the first option I'd say midtable at best, if the latter even NQ. But this is different, refreshing and a good choice no matter what.  Albania - Alis -  Nân **** T...

OGAE SONG CONTEST 2016: ALVARO SOLER WINS FOR SPAIN

The oldest OGAE fans organized contest, OGAE Song contest has come to its 30th edition this year and is doing better than ever. Wolrdclass acts like Adele, Delta Goodrem, Mariza and Enya battling it out along with Eurovision stars Anna Vissi, Dina Garipova, Sirusho, Amir, Kati Wolf, Eva Boto, Marija Serifovic, Lena Philipsson, Daniel Kajmakoski, Helena Paparizou and Softengine and all the others the local clubs have chosen to represent themselves. A total of 28 great songs to choose from - what would be a better past time? You can listen to all the entries here and have a look at the voting here .  The past few years the victories have all went to same nations: United Kingdom (2009, 2010, 2011), Spain (2013, 2016) and France (2014, 2015), only Italy breaking the trend in 2012. And these four countries do have the most wins ever in the contest anyways. At least the Big5 is ruling here.... One can only wish and hope Alvaro Soler would be one of the shortlisted and invited a...

AUSTRALIA: WHO WILL SING FOR EUROVISON 2017?

The moment Australia's third consegutive participation at the Eurovision song contest was confirmed the guessing started downunder who will follow Guy Sebastian (5th) and Dami Im (2nd) in Kyiv 2017. Meanwhile EBU has also stated Australia is not granted a permanent slot in the contest but will be given access year by year based on Reference Group's decision. This time they all voted for Australia's favor. And no, we can't expect various Chinas and others taking part in the contest anytime soon, but as a guest performance is a possibility... Anyways, Australia press has thrown in various names to Kyiv: Tina Arena, Tim Omaji, The Veronicas, Montaigne, Anthony Callea, Emma Louise, Cyrus Villanueva, Darren Hayes , forever tipped Delta Goodrem, Dan Sultan, Empire of the Sun and Dannii Minogue as a substitute for the big sister.... as t he ultimate wet dream remains Kylie MInogue , but would it be fair for the other countries? But then again, if you want to win .......
