WHAT I LISTENED TO IN THE 80'S, vol. 68 - AGNETHA FÄLTSKOG

After ABBA went on everlasting break Agnetha continued her solo career right away releasing three albums in mid 80's. Since then she has released about an album in a decade.... Check out also:

WHAT I LISTENED TO IN THE 80'S, vol. 6 - ABBA

ABBA was so present everywhere I didn't even have to own any ABBA records to listen to them, actually my first one was ABBA Gold . You couldn't avoid them in the late 70's and early 80's before they split up.... and one still remembers all the songs by heart and they are as present as ever....

THE ABBA REUNION 2016 - WATCH THEM SING TOGETHER AGAIN

The 2016 Eurovision song contest organizers didn't manage it - or any of the previous ones either nor those offering them millions of dollars - but they seem to get together for birthdays, the way the old friends do. Back in 1999 they performed together in a private party for Görel Hansel's 50th birthday, and now to celebrate the first meeting of Björn and Benny 50 years ago. Venue was Stockholm's Bern's Salonger and once again in a private setting but today even they can't stop the cell phone videos and social medias. Enjoy the magic of Frida's and Agnetha's voices again.

WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON IN THE EUROVISION WORLD IN NOVEMBER 2013?

I'm back! During my absense I checked the internet only once or twice and nothing much seemed to had happened in the wonderful Euovision world but now I see actually there's been some major news. Like Agnetha performing live! For the first time since 1982, mind you! Take That's Gary Barlow managed in what the others have failed so far when they sung together the song he penned for her in her latest album, I should have followed you home in London's Children in Need Rocks 2013. Now that she's back on stage, let's start the ABBA reunion rumours, will we? European Music Awards 2013 went to the usual non-European acts and Marco Mengoni nor Lena took home the trophy for the Best Worldwide act won by... err, who ??!! Montenegro has confirmed Sergej Ćetković as their representative. It seems we will get a real Balcan ballad in Joksimovic style. Now that Serbia and Croatia are missing, will Montengero sweep that vote and finally make impact in the final? Clev...

WklVids: Agnetha Fältskog, Hayk Kasparov & Marine Petrosyan, Chris Munro, Eric Saade

Agnetha Fältskog has released second single off her new album, Dance your pain away . A great retro dance number! The video features some groovy moves by her fans... :-) Armenian Hayk Kasparov has joined forces with Marine Petrosyan in Kum ar kum and classy video. Chris Munro goes to a pool party in his Go . Some groovy moves here, too, and a video that is illegal in Russia these days.... (Which is ridiculous and oh, so wrong, of course). Eric Saade has released the title track from his worthcoming album, Forgive me . Is he asking forgiveness for all the mediocre songs he has released recently? The video is a nice mix between IKEA ad and soap opera. Quite pleasant anyways....

ONLY TEARDROPS DEBUTS AT #17 IN FINLAND

Emmelie de Forest's Only teardrops enters the official Finnish singles Top-20 charts at #17. This is the real charts, not iTunes or similar download only. On the official album Top-50 chart the Eurovision 2013 compilation jumps from #25 to #9, while Krista Siegfrids debut album Ding Dong climbs from #24 to #19. Agnetha Fältskog 's A debuted at #15 last week and is already dropping to #22. Patricia Kaas debuted at #17 thee weeks ago with Chante Piaf but is moving out of the chart at # 46. Her high debut was helped by her tour that brought her to Turku, Tampere and Helsinki giving four concerts to her Finnish fans earlier this month.

LISTEN TO A, A AS AGNETHA FÄLTSKOG

Agnetha Fältskog will released her new album A on May 10, 2013. It's her 5th post-ABBA solo album but the first since 2004. The first single When you really loved someone has been out already but now you can listen to snippets of all songs here . It is yet unknown if she will somehow be involved with Malmö 2013 Eurovision as it is rumored. It might be just whistful thinking by the fans but who knows? Agnetha's ex-husband Björn Ulvaeus stated in an interview he personally is more interested in the ABBA museum and it's opening than Eurovision, that he is not a fan of and won't be attending.

ABBA & AVICII WILL WRITE THE STORY FOR ESC 2013

Namely the opening act of the final in Eurovision 2013 is a track called We write the story , composed by ABBA's Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus and arranged by Avicii. This unision of the best selling Swedish musical exports of the past and present was on top of the wish list of SVT and all interested accepted the task immediately. Meanwhile Agnetha is rumored to participate this summer's Allsång, but concidering her last public performance was in 1987 it seems rather unlikely, as is her appearance in Eurovision 2013 as well, at least as a performer! Anyways, We write the story for the final, Northern light by Kleerup for the first semifinal. What will we have for the second one?

WklVids: Arash ft Sean Paul, Regina, Agnetha Fältskog, Saara Aalto

Regina has released a very beautiful song Na balkanu . From the category "I don't understand a word but believe it all"....  Saara Aalto (Talent, Euroviisut and The Voice runner up) has released her new single and video You had my heart . She's really aiming for the Asian market and both Japanese and Chinese versions will follow in due time. Arash features Sean Paul in his new She makes me go that could have been released some 20 years ago really. Finns must feel nostalgic as it has hit the charts here...  Ramdadamdamdigidigi! ABBA's Agnetha Fältskog has made a comeback and the first single When you really loved someone is really a nice tune..... relaxing, sad and wonderfully old fashioned at the same time. And on top of that oh so familiar voice of Agnetha :-)

AGNETHA FÄLTSKOG COMEBACK?

When you really loved someone should be Agnetha's comeback single, released next Monday, a first new song by her in 25 years! And it's a duet with Take That's Gary Barlow! Or just written by him. Or then not, Universal sticks to "No comment". Anyways, Agnetha hasn't released an album since 2004 when a cover album My coloring book was released. And that came 17 years after her previous three solo albums in the 1980's following the ABBA years after her solo stuff in the late 1960's and early 1970's.... Let's see if this is true or not....

Carola has Steg för steg, På egna ben, Much more, Personligt and the Sound of music soundtrack with Tommy Körberg in hers. Agnetha Fältskog's one includes these 5 albums: Agnetha Fältskog, Agnetha Fältskog, vol 2, Som jag är, När en vacker tanke blir en sång and Elva kvinnor i ett hus .

Mamma mia! Agnetha did it!

Agnetha came to Stockholm and made the ABBA reunion possible! Agnetha, Benny, Björn and Frida walked the red carpet with Meryl Streep & co and posed for photographs. ABBA was last seen together in public in 2005 in Mamma mia! the musical's premiere in Stockholm. There are also rumours they performed in a private party in 1999. They have been offered one billion dollars to reunite but have always refused.... Watch interviews & stuff from the premiere here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAObzmHg7r0
