EUROVISION 2025 IRELAND: EUROSONG 2025 - LISTEN TO THE ENTRIES

Ireland uses once again The Late Late Show as their national final. Five songs were selected from the submitted entries and one was invited directly to the line up. The songs dropped from January 20, 2025 one by one. Last year's selection was quite wild with song variety from really, really bad to something else that brought them their best placing since 2000. And their only second qualification in ten years - and to think they ruled the contest in the 1990's with four wins and two runner ups! Sadly this year's line up, even if generally better than usually as none of the songs is really bad actually none of them was really something I liked either. The past years they have despite all had a song or two that I really liked - even if usually didn't win though! Now, I don't know.... maybe I should go with the Norwegian Emmy's  Laika party just for the fun of it. Bobbi Arlo - Powerplay  ** Reylta - Fire  ** Adgy - Run into the night  *** Emmy - Laika party   *** Sa...

EUROVISION 2022: IRELAND - EUROSONG 2022 REVIEW

Ireland, once the dominatrix of Eurovision has lost it completely in the past twenty years or so, and every year they say they're back on top and then.... Well..... At least they do participate. This year out of 320 submissions they chose these six for the final and once can only wonder if they had a clear vision of bringing Eurosong back to he 80's or did they think they're stepping ahead being clever when 80's is coming back more and more every year. Let's hear what they have come up this time below. The Irish final takes place as usual at Late Late Show on Friday night February 4, 2022. UPDATE: Here are the results: 1. Brooke 28 2. Janet 24 3. Miles 24 4. Patrick 22 5. Rachel 16 6. Brendan 12 Brendan Murray - Real love ** Brendan who seems to want to forget he ever took part in Eurovision is aiming for another try. This time with a song he co-wrote himself. It's like all his post-Eurovision releases: Pleasant but forgettable. His recognizable voice makes this...

RYAN DOLAN & BONNIE TYLER SHOW THEIR ACTS

So to speak. Both have been singing their entries on national TV and most likely giving us a hint how it'll look in Malmö 2013 Eurovision shortly. Ryan Dolan did The Late Late Show again and the act seems pretty much the same as it always was, only more rehearsed and polished perhaps. Here . Bonnie Tyler was visitng Graham Norton and gave us a first real look to the song and it's changing. No surprises here either, not that she needs them. She has said she won't be wearing leather for Eurovision so that'll be the big change then! Sounds good, looks a bit awkward with all that waving around but then... that's just who Bonnie is! Watch it here . Also for the interview and laughs!

TONIGHT: FINAL IN IRELAND. WITH LORDI

Tonight the most victorious country in the Eurovision history will selects its entrant. Orphans of Jedward this year the competition is open to everyone involved even if the system and procedure is the same as previous years with mentors and song out already for a couple of weeks. Regional juries, five of them, and televoters will pick up the winner 50-50. Curiously Ireland is flirting with Turkish music the year Turkey is absent....?! It's also my least favorite of these so propably it wins seeing how my predictions go this year... :-) I do have one clear favorite though, but won't say it alound for the same reason ;-p And Lordi will be as guest stars! 22.30 at eurovision.tv Inchequin - Son kez Aimée Fitzpatrick - Crashing down Zoe Alexis Bohorquez - Fire Ryan Dolan - Only love survives Kasey - Kiss me
