EUROVISION 2017: EVERYBODY AT THE MOLDOVAN PARTY!

Eurovision is also all about parties and as usual many delegations host their own themed parties and last night was Moldova's turn. Not only did Sunstroke Project act as hosts they also performed and had brought along a lot of Moldovan Eurovision royalty: Aliona Moon, Pasha Parfeny and Olia Tira! Many other artists from Slava to Slavko performed, and others from Demy to Hovig and Kristian came to party and enjoy the company, food and drinks. Oh, Eurovision parties, nothing like them!     Pics and vids by the Flying Reporter Robert

ESC 2017 REVIEW - MOLDOVA (21): SUNSTROKE PROJECT - HEY MAMMA

Pictured is Moldova's national flower, dog rose Moldova organized its usual national final, O melodie pentru Europa. TRM received 40 submissions, all of them wree invited for live auditions and 14 were invited for the semifinal. The selection also included a fair share of withdrawels and disqualifications. Eurovision veterans Sunstroke Project won the semifinal and the final finished with a tie with jury's favorite Ethno Republic but the televote was decisive (phew) and they return to Eurovision after seve years with Hey, mamma! written by Anton Ragoza, Serghei Ialovitki, Seghei Stepanov, Mihail Cebotarenco and Alina Galetcaia. Sunstroke Project is Sergei Yalovitsky (vocals), Anton Ragoza (violinist, composer) and the Epic Sax Guy Sergey Stepanov, who became a real internet phenomenom after their 2010 particiation with Olia Tira. #ESC 2014 MOLDOVA: SEMIFINAL ONE TONIGHT

Moldova has its first (out of two) semifinals tonight. Eight out of 12 will make the final - seven my a mixture of 50-50 tlevote/jury vote. The eight entry is the highesst scoring entry in televotes that didn't make the cut. The second semifinal will take place Thursday and the final next Saturday. This year has not been an exception what comes to scandals. Apparently Boris Covali qualified with and preferred his other song but it was changed to this one. The singer in Flux Light seems to be Olia Tira. Diana Brescan seems to be the favorite but I'm fond of the two ballads in Moldovan by Alina and Ana. Of the rest I really don't have an opinion or anything to say. Indifferent. *Boris Covali - Perfect day *Flux Light - Never stop no Alina Sorochina - Asculta-ma, tacere Vlad Ray - Freedom *Felicia Dunaf - The way I do *Doinita Gherman - Energy *Ana Cernicova - Dragostea divina *Diana Brescan - Hallelujah *Tatiana Heghea - I'm yours Rodica Olisevschi...

Oslo 2010: Day 5 - Moldova

The humping hips are back when Moldova starts the second rehearsal round for the semifinalists. The opening part is still the best, now the violin has little blue LED lights on it and looks very effective. Olia has a silver dress, very short in Eurovision fashion, with some turquose decorations while the guys are more casual. I guess this is pretty much like their actual act. More polished and together this time but still not quite getting there, is it? Being one of its kind in this semi  this might have good chances of qualification anyways. Video .
