Celine Dion didn't know what to wear to Vogue photoshoot and joined the long list of naked Eurovision stars..... This week's birthday boy is Juri and this week's coverboy is Manel Dima enjoyed some sun as did Imri and Alexander. Hovig enjoyed the moon instead and Emma the sunset and Francesco the crowds and Freddie woke up happy Sakis got married Måns built a sauna (waiting for some sauna pics now.,. aren't we?) Isaiah is back to studio for some new music while Douwe enjoys some superstar gig glamour. Not. 

There are always a lot of theme parties at Eurovison city and at EuroClub. Last night it was time for the Nordic Light one when the artists from Finland, Sweden, Iceland, Denmark and Estonia got together and shared the spotlight with only Norwegian Agnete missing out for health problems.   Hera & Greta  Selfie time for Sandhja and Greta! Estonia also must have been pretty satisfied with their first reharsal as this seems pretty identical. Except Juri is not wearing lasses this time. Did you know his backing singers were also Ira Losco's backing singers back in Tallinn 2002? He is still doing his card trick but judging the reports there's something that isnät quite connecting with people on screen. There seem to be also some vocals problems. We'll see. I like this one a lot. 

Quite mixed reciews for Estonia it seems. Maybe it's down again to the fact if someone doesn't like the song or him he can't see beyond it and see if it's good or bad. And vice versa. Some say he was vocally fine, some say he looked and sounded like he didn't want to be there. Oh well... Anyways, smart blue suit for Juri, red and gold in the backdrop, playing cards and a card trick. No visible backing singers (again). Still a hint of James Bond Casino Royalness perhaps. Song's composer Stig Rästa is also present. Of course. In the Meet & Greet Juri tells it was a fun experience being on that stage, not nervous at all but excited. He doesn't want to think or talk about his chances, he just wants to enjoy his time on stage. And yes, his deep rich voice is all natural. He went from high voiced boy to that deep voiced man. Simple as that. 

Some guypower in this post. LITHUANIA - DONNY MONTELL - I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS NIGHT (Jonas Thander, Beatrice Robertsson) Donatas Montvydas aka Donny Montell is another 2012 returnee. He won the marathon long national selection.And yes, his song is Made in Sweden. Blogilkar: Very nice intro. Then it turns into a rather mediocre radio friendly pop tune saved by Donny's vocals. Maybe a bit too Swedish but... not bad at all. 7 Jack:  Donny returns to the contest with a decent pop song. I'm not really sure how he'll fare in Stockholm. The song is modern and catchy and his live performance in Lithuania's national final was good. 7 Peter:  Ok, a piano entry is a soft spot for me, and it's nice and easy, I like the melody and the buildup. Latvia's Riga kicks off the major Eurovision promo events this year. Spikeri Concert hall in Riga has ten of this year's artists on stage with special guests from Sweden: the Eurovision 1984 winners The Herreys, and Schlagerfeber quartet made of four experienced Melodifestivalen and Eurovision backing singers belting out some hits.  This event is rapidly growing; two years ago when it was organized for the first time there were ony 3 artists, last year 8 and now 10.  This year's artists are: Belarus - Ivan Bosnia & Herzegovina - Dalal & Deen feat. Ana Rucner and Jala Bulgaria - Poli Genova Estonia -Jüri Pootsmann Israel - Hovi Star Latvia - Justs Malta - Ira Losco Serbia - Sanja Vučić ZAA Spain - Barei Switzerland - Rykka

Jüri Pootsmann has won the Eesti laul 2016 with 44% of the votes in the superfinal for his Play , co-written by last year's winner Stig Rästa leaving Laura second and Cartoon third.  The jury, including Finnish teenage pop sensation Isaac Elliot also had Juri as their favorite and Mick Pedaja second followed by Cartoon, Laura only fifth so the lovely people of Estonia lifted her to the superfinal, meaning she has had to score either 10 or 12 from them, and Mick Pedaja only 5.... Estonia's final wil take place tonight after two semifinals where half the songs were eliminated. There will be first round of voting 50-50 televoting-expert jury. The top-3 will go for the superfinal, where only televote reigns. My favorite by far is Laura, it's about the time she wins after all her wonderful entries in the past and this is equally fantastic. I also like Grete, but it's a bit like Laura light in style and rather lame staging. Shame. Jüri seems to be also popular and indeed he might be a good choice. Cartoon takes the staging further than maybe ever in Eurovision - and that's something. Shame vocally it's a mess. And what would Eesti laul be without some weird indie stuff. This year we have Meisterjaan, Mick Pedaja and I Wear* Experiment ....
