Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

  Estonia has revealed today half of the Eesti laul 2020 participants and among them we find this blogger's soft spot Laura with STEFAN, Uku Suviste, Traffic and Rasmus among others and also the writers include several very familiar names from Uku and Sarag Vaugh, Tanja Mihhailova-Saar, Victor Crone with Stig Rästa. Not forgetting Finnish Janne Hyöty who has co-written Laura's song. He holds the record number of Euroviisut entries written - shared  with Lasse Mårtensson - (14) in the Finnish national final between 2004-2012. YLE has revealed its jury for the Eurovision song contest 2019 in Tel Aviv. The vocal capacity of the singer, the performance on stage, the composition and originality of the song and the overall impression of the act are the guidelines given by EBU for the jurors. So, who are they? First of all Eva Louhivuori (31) is of course musician, singer-songwriter of Eva+Manu fame who were hotly tipped for Eurovision 2019 at some point last winter. Lasse Wikman (57) has written lyrics for over 700 songs for artists like Suvi Teräsniska, Charles Plogman, Yö, Yölintu, Neljänsuora and Jore Marjoranta. He has worked in various music organisations and also written various award winning tv-series and has been in involved in picking up the Finnish Oscar movie candidate before this.  Susanna Vainiola is a radio speaker with various programmes and variety of music she plays with little feelgood stories,  as well as popular podcast. Janne who I hear you ask? If I say he has written more Euroviisut entries than anyone else (except Lasse Mårtensson or did Janne pass him already this time with Jessica Wolff's Better ? Someone correct me?). He has tried since 2004 with songs like A little crazy and Cider hill , just to name a couple. His song Birth by KAT-TUN, a Japanese boyband topped the Japanese charts last week. But hey, he wasn't the first Finn to achieve that: just two weeks earlier Samuli Laiho wrote the Sexy Zone's number one single, With you . Both songs have been co-written by Japanese Daichi. But there are still more Finnish songwriters with success in Asia right now. In Taiwan Rainie Yang had a number one album this fall in South Korea and one of the songs is written by Jussi Nikula, Jaakko JS16 Salovaara and Popparazzis.
