He watched her with admiration all through the performance and seemed rather shocked she actually didn't manage to better his 75%.... Diana on the other hand looked miserable on stage when she realized what happened.... Julieta came 3rd and Beatbox Element 4th. Israel's The Next Star long selection has come to and end and we have the four finalists. Now all is left is the grand final next week, Monday February 13. In the end they are the most obvious and predictable ones; Imri Ziv who has been backing singer in Eurovision already twice (2015, 2016), the accapella group The Beatbox Element , Julieta of Kdam Eurovision fame and the biggest favorite of them all Diana Golbi , who won another talent show in 2010 and has since released records and kept herself in business.  The final selection was held in various duels: Imri Ziv (95%) vs Sapir Nahon (73%) The Beatbox Element (83%) vs. Julieta (76%) Ta-la-te (59%) vs. Diana Golbi (87%) Then the losers were put against each other and Julieta made it Julieta (85%) vs Ta-La-Te (26%) vs Sapir Nahon (75%)

Israel's long search for The Next Star is reaching the final stages. Out of the 21 acts that made it through the blind auditons ( here ) a jury has now picked up eight for the next step. Eventually they will become 6, then 4 for the final. Some artists who scored much better than the selected ones have been dropped out like Yosef Gal (91%), Helen Kalandadze (90%). David Vanesian (85%) and Yonit Zaidenberg (85%). They must have their reasons.... Diana Goldi is the Idol 2010 winner, Imri Ziv already twice a backing singer in ESC (2015, 2016) and Julieta has Kdam 2013 experience.
