Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

The Marcel Bezençon Awards were handed out yesterday, too, before the grand final. (And this is the first photo I see with Ukraine and Russia together in all thee two weeks.....) The Press award - voted by the accredited media and press - went to Russia and Sergey Lazarov. The Composer award - voted by the participating composers - went to Australia's David Musimeci and Anthony Egizi for Sound of silence . Artist award - voted by the commentators - went to Jamala from Ukraine.

Australian Dami Im has heard a rumour about Blogilkar readers.....

Everything improved from the first rehearsal thinks Dami. There's some technology involved and always a risk but it's worth taking. And all you bloggers out there: she is indeed helped down the box by stage crew, it won't be seen on telly but it's a pat of the deal and not a mistake by her side. I still find this a bit cold, good but cold. Maybe it will all be changed once live on television, the only moment that really matters.

Australia's first ever rehearsal as a semifinalist. They have a very tecnological performance including Dami surrounded by trasparent screens with projections she interacts and she's on top of a box like a mermaid first. She's wearing a long white dress with chrystals. All is very professional looking and perfect sounding but once again the emotion is missing. Can she connect the televoters with this coldness?  Apparenty the version is vocally a bit different from the studio version.  It's all about the dress..... if oly she got as excited about the song as she does of the dress!

Good bye to the sound of silence when 7th heaven remix beats it up and turns the Australian entry by Dami Im into something totally different. Enjoy!
