BAKU DAY 7: GEORGIA AND TURKEY

Georgia . There is so much going on stage I won't even try to describe it but it includes wardrobe gimmicks and a lot of walking around and one dancer legs in the air most of the time. The song itself is a such mess it puts Turkish Opera into shame but the entertainment value is similar to Latvia's I wanna , and we all know how that finished. This will hardly do so well but considering Georgia's previous qualification record and apparently this translates well to the screens I think this will qualify. And as it often happens, more you see and hear there you become blind and deaf to the point I almost hope it already... Sad but true! More here . Turkey . The same fantastic backdrop, the same drunken sailors (maybe a bit less drunken this time...). Also here the performance and choreography is much better than the song itself. This is almost like a piece of a musical. Turkey didn't make the final for the first time last year, I'm not sure they will make it th...

BAKU DAY 4: SWEDEN AND GEORGIA

And here it is, the most anticipated of them all, Sweden . Is someone expected a different act I can tell there is not. The act is as similar to the one in Melodifestivalen as possible. There's no backdrop until the snowstorm and it's all done with the lights only. I wonder if in the live broadcast they will have the confetti flying or not? She is on a platform and in the corner of the stage she has three backing vocalists. And yes, it's very good. Is it the winner? I don't know....It was my initial thought when I heard this song for the very first time, "if this wins in Sweden it will win it all". Something in it's overpowering success in polls has made me think differently. On the other hand this could be another Fairytale .... (Which I also said would win it all if it won the national final. Just like Molitva ... sometimes I do get it right!) More here . And from the first (?) to last (?) when we move to Georgia . He starts the song in the catwalk...

Anri Jokhadze for Georgia

I'm a jocker, he sings and I think this must be a joke.  Maybe it isn't. Anyways, one must give Georgia an award for the worst national final in history, I'm sorry for that. Propably this winner will be reproduced and reworked before Baku 2012 but still...  I'm buzzled. And at the same time I heard the Montenegro's demo and... well, Eurovision turned a bit sour today!
