And here it is, the most anticipated of them all, Sweden. Is someone expected a different act I can tell there is not. The act is as similar to the one in Melodifestivalen as possible. There's no backdrop until the snowstorm and it's all done with the lights only. I wonder if in the live broadcast they will have the confetti flying or not? She is on a platform and in the corner of the stage she has three backing vocalists. And yes, it's very good. Is it the winner? I don't know....It was my initial thought when I heard this song for the very first time, "if this wins in Sweden it will win it all". Something in it's overpowering success in polls has made me think differently. On the other hand this could be another Fairytale.... (Which I also said would win it all if it won the national final. Just like Molitva... sometimes I do get it right!) More here.
And from the first (?) to last (?) when we move to Georgia. He starts the song in the catwalk singing something in Georgia I suppose in the very long intro. That's somehow still ok but after that it only gets worse and worse. There's nothing likable about this song and his yellow hair isn't making things any easier to like either. He has five ladies on some kind of props. There's something sleazy about the whole thing.... this is one dirty mess. Sorry Georgia, you have been so good at times but I don't get this. More here.
