Israel hasn't changed their act it seems and why should they? The back drop is cool, the choreography is fun and it all seems to be working at the best possible way. I'm liking a lot the clocks in the back but will they translate well to the TV-screen remains to be seen. I think this is one of the many borderline qualifiers here. It will be very interesting to see how people will vote in the end as this year.... I have no clue! More here.
San Marino has all the makings of the big surprise this year. Fans have been slashing the song since it came out and seem to be honored to place it last in every poll. It's not cool to admit liking it, especially when it's written by Ralph Siegel. But the televoters will hear it for the first time and what they hear and see is a happy, cheerful, carefree pop song with a good singer, memorable act and catchy chorus. The Sammarinese team is dressed in white and blue but we have a doctor, a captain, a cheerleader.... It all comes together well and ... who knows? Maybe the fans get their shocker and San Marino makes the final for the first time? I definitely hope so, just that I can say to everyone: Told you so! :-) But let's wait and see, meanwhile read this in depth interview with Mr Eurovision Ralph Siegel himself here.
