EUROVISION WINNERS: NEW RELEASES - NEMO VS. JJ

Faith is the past two Eurovision song contest winners Nemo of Switzerland and JJ of Austria both have released their latest efforts almost at the same time fighting for same public for the chart success and attention. Nemo - God's a raver **** Nemo has been around already almost ten years with many EPs and singles released but if we consider his past-Eurovision career God's a raver is the first serious contender to hit big along with his debut album to be released in October 2025. His first release after win was Eurostar that went by without much success and the other songs after that ( Casanova , Unexplainable ) even less so. God's a raver could change his fate being a catchy, groovy, humorous number with somewhat questionable lyrics to stir some attention being the real follow up to The Code . Clearly the best effort since The Code. JJ - Back to forgetting ** JJ releases follow up to his winning entry Wasted love titled Back to forgetting. His winning entry hasn't ...

NEW RELEASES FROM SURIE, SEVAK KHANAGYAN, BLANCHE AND NATHAN TRENT

Eurovision Class of 2017 and 2018 release follow ups to their entries. This year's UK entrant SuRie releases Taking it over and fandom seems to agree it's fab, great and fantastic. How ironic - it's like any album track from Jamala really (which in my book is a positive thing) but how come no one's getting excited about Jamala's songs? I wonder. This year's Armenian Sevak Khanagyan goes up tempo compared to his entry but his voice is very recognisable.  Зеркала aka Mirrors is a very Russian sounding pop. Last year's Belgian Blanche continues with Wrong turn the same style but less intensive and less effective. Austrian Nathan Trent teams up with J-Mox for Secrets .

AUSTRIA: ZOË IS BACK AND IT'S A DANGEROUS AFFAIR

ZOË has left French loin d'ici and opts for English in her new single Dangerous affair . But French or English her chrystal clear voice fits it like a glove. The arrangement recalls Madonna's Bond theme Die another day and Selma's If I had your love at first hearing but in a good  zoescque way. Quite a contrast to Loind'ici's colorful explosion of good mood! Trés cool, ZOË!

RUSSIA: DIMA BILAN RELEASES LABYRINTH

Eurovision song contest 2008 winner Dima Bilan keeps on releasing new songs and here comes the latest, Labyrinth (Лабиринты). It's another highly enjoyable Bilan track and his 36th official single already but the first one of 2017.

ITALY: SANREMO ARTISTS RELEASE ALBUMS BIG TIME

Sanremo is big. Commercially at least even if sales may be declining but at least most every artist has a new album ready for the release after this promotional boost. Below is the list of albums coming out today and in coming weeks.... It seems only Fiorella Mannoia and Ron have a re-release of their latest album with added track(s) while the other ones seem proper ones with new material February 10, 2017 releases: AL BANO - "Di rose e di spine" ERMAL META - "Vietato morire"  ALICE PABA - "Se fossi un angelo"  FIORELLA MANNOIA - "Combattente - Sanremo Edition"  FRANCESCO GABBANI - "Occidentali's Karma" (apparently postboned) MARCO MASINI - "Spostato di un secondo"  MICHELE ZARRILLO - "Vivere e rinascere"   NESLI - "Kill Karma - La mente è un'arma"  SERGIO SYLVESTRE - "Sergio Sylvestre" RAIGE - "Alex (Sanremo edition" GIULIA LUZI - "Togliam...

NEW RELEASES FROM SAADE, MARGARET, ANOUK AND LOBODA

Here are again some new releases from Eurovision stars and wannabes. Bad boy Saade is apparently having success in Russia after dropping his first name and change of musical style. I kinda like it. Better than before for sure! Margaret keeps delivering excellent pop tunes and Elephant is another good example. Maybe not as catchy as Cool me down that has been playing also on Finnish radio waves quite a lot. Anouk goes her own way with Down daddy down and it's interesting at least. And Ukrainian (Svetlana) Loboda is having maybe the biggest hit of her long career on home soil. And Russia!
