SWITZERLAND: TIMEBELLE'S MASHUP OF ESC 2017

Good night with this goodie!

ESC 2017 LYIV - DAY 7: SWITZERLAND SECOND REHEARSAL

Timebelle is a vision of light yellow, pink and purple. he's on top of the staircase in her huge dress. Just not too late she walks down the stairs and to the pianist, and then for the final part in front of a windmachine that blows her dress and her hair.  And showing a lot of leg. I love the song and think it's an ok staging. I can't decide if they should have done something more, or less actually. My mind is filled with Easter and marsmellows instead. I thought this was a sure qualifier but sadly I'm not so sure anymore. I want it to be but....

ESC 2017 KYIV - DAY 4: SWITZERLAND FIRST REHEARSAL

Timebelle is all pink and yellow. Very yellow. But she's so pretty she can wear anything and this dress won't pass by unnoticed. The guys in pink with a pink piano add the pastel colors to the bright and colorful staging. Add staircase, clouds and your mind might wander to Disneyan Beauty and the beast. This is one of my favorite songs really, and I need to see the full staging and show before giving a better judgement as this seems to have gotten a bit mixed reviews. For me it's a qualifier no matter what.

ESC 2017 REVIEW - SWITZERLAND (11): TIMEBELLE - APOLLO

Pictured is Switzerland's national flower edelweiss Switzerland has been the last in the semifinal for two years now. Only two finals in the ast two years, and even in one of them last. No wonder they decided to revamp the whole selecton process and instead of each broadcaster selecting their own entrants they joined forces already in the first phase. 160 songs were submitted and they had to have a connection to Switzerland - instead of the previously insane open internet submission to anyone. A special jury chose around 20 entries to the live auditions, and then six were chosen for the national final, where only televote ruled. In the end of this Timebelle won with Apollo , written by Elias Näslin, Nicolas Günthardt and Alessandra Günthardt. Timebelle, who already was a runner up in the Swiss selection in 2015, currently is a trio made of Miruna Mănescu (vocals), Samuel Forster (drums) and Emanuel Daniel Andriescu (multi-instrumentalist). The band was originally a f...

SWITZERLAND: TIMEBELLE BRINGS APOLLO TO EUROVISION

As expected Timebelle has won the Swiss selection with Apollo tonight. I must say I like it. Maybe more than I should but it's working very well live. Not so sure if that festive dress up thing is the right thing to do, but hey it's very old school Sanremo in that department! Maybe it's time to bring some of it back t Eurovision stage, too? Timebelle was clearly the best option, even after live performances. Ginta would have been fun if she only hit two notes in a row somewhere along the three minutes, and Nadya delivered as well but that short dress? Oh well.....
