Dario Faini aka Dardust is the hottest producer/composer in Italy this summer but not only thanks to Mahmood's Soldi . Megastars Jovanotti and Luca Carboni are among those wanting a piece of him in their productions. Over the years he has written hits to Marco Mengoni , Emma , Ermal Meta , Francesca Michielin , Annalisa , Elodie , Elisa , Giusy Ferreri and many others besides his solo career and his band Elettrodust. 

Carlo Conti made Sanremo 2015 a success and he has been confirmed as the host and the artistic director also for 2016, and his contract includes also 2017 as the artistic director. RAI explains it wants to give the festival some continuity, and Conti has already expressed his wish to change things, a job he started already in 2015. He wants less guests, more songs and everything happening a bit faster instead of endless talk. A bit more like Eurovision, right? He also brought the newcomers to brighter spotlight already in 2015 and that work takes a step forward in 2016. For 2016 for the newcomers there will be a kind of talent show in tv starting in November. Five daily shows leading up to a prime time final to pick up the eight lucky ones. This way people will be, hopefully, already familiar with them and who knows, someone might make it big even before Sanremo? Alice released her Samsara album two years ago, her first album with original songs in 14 years and to the immense joy of her fans she's not taking another 14 years but the follow up Weekend will be released in a couple of weeks! Even Samsara included a cover and hommages to late Lucio Dalla and late Giuni Russo, while Tiziano Ferro and Franco Battiato among others wrote new songs especially for her. Alice herself also returned as an author (something she should do much more, if you ask this blogger as her self written songs are usually fantastic).  We know about the new album that it includes two songs by Franco Battiato - the big question is are the songs the ones she proposed to Sanremo 2014 and was not accepted? (And did she really propose after all?) The first single is out and it's another cover that fits her like a glove, almost like if it was written for her, Tante belle cose , originally by Francoise Hardy (more about that later when the video is released).  ...

Luca Carboni released his new album Fisico & Politico earlier this year featuring duets with likes of Alice, Franco Battiato, Cesare Cremonini, Tiziano Ferro, Jovanotti, Elisa and others. He's about to start his tour and the kick off is tomorrow in Bologna's Paladozza celebrating 30 years of career. He will have special guests in this concert including Alice . It's the first time ever they perform together. He recalls he met her briefly in 1983 in a music festival He was just beginning his career but she was alredy a Star he also admired and followed. She tells she heard Carboni for the first time in radio and liked what she heard and kept eye (and ear) on the guy. I have never been a huge fan of duet albums, and/or albums with remakes of old songs, something rather typical for Italian artists but now there's coming an album I can hardly wait! It seems like a real piss-your-pants material! Luca Carboni celebrates his 30th anniversary in business with an album with a few new songs and reworked versions of his old hits with guest stars. Nothing special here, is it? But then when you look at the guests, it turns into a wet dream: Alice, Franco Battiato, Tiziano Ferro, Elisa, Cesare Cremonini, Biagio Antonacci. .. it's like a reunion of my favorite singers! Add Miguel Bosé, Jovanotti, Samuel Bersani and Fabri Fibra and that's the album I can hardly wait for! Emilia: i cantanti italiani si mobilitano per il sisma Bologna stadio dall'Ara 25 giugno Si chiama“Emilia: live” il mega concerto che si terrà il prossimo 25 giugno allo stadio dall'Ara di Bologna in favore dei terremotati dell’Emilia. Per l’iniziativa si sono mobilitati tantissimi artisti, soprattutto del posto, che ben volentieri hanno accettato di cantare per la loro terra senza alcun compenso. L’idea è nata dai Nomadi , in particolare dal leader Beppe Carletti che ha colto la palla al balzo dall’appello lanciato dal consigliere regionale Marco Barbieri, che ha postato su Facebook: “Sono molti gli artisti figli di questa terra o che devono qualcosa all'Emilia. Se li conosco, sono anche loro persone che sanno rimboccarsi le maniche”. Detto, fatto! Il concerto allo stadio dell’Ara ospiterà circa 40mila persone. The artists and songs are officially announced only on January 10, 2012 but Eugenio Finardi has revealed he will be in Sanremo 2012 with song E tu lo chiami Dio . Finardi has been around since 1973 when his first single Spacey Stacey was released. His half American as his mother is an American opera singer. He has released 26 albums so far and written also to other singers. His songs include Dol ce Italia ,  Le ragazze di Osaka (cover by Alice ), Amore diverso and Musica ribelle (cover by Luca Carboni ) and he has recorded also many duets. This blogger found this great songwriter by Alice's cover. Nice to have him in Sanremo for the third time. He was there in 1985 with Vorrei svegliarti and in 1999 with Amami Lara .
