Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Marco Mengoni was supposed to have a long break "to clear his ideas", as he announced in February but it seems the ideas are clear already. Last night he promised international news soon in his victory speech as the Best male artist in TimMTV Music awards Italy (he got his 11th and 12th award btw), and today he published in his social medias the date June 2 and "new sounds are coming", hinting from New York where he is now that a new single may be published.  His international career so far included one album in Spanihs for the Spanish and Latin market, a duet with Grace Capristo for the German edition of his album and of course his latest tour that took him to Frankfurt, Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris, Luxembourg, Vienna and Warzaw among others. One thing is sure: his next gigs are international festivals:  July 21 in Zurich, August 13 in Zofingen and August 29 in Bochum.

Il Volo has sold over 100.000 copies of their EP in Italy gaining double platinum status, besides topping both the album and the single charts. While they have been busy travelling the world the new album won't be avaialble as yet, but they want to give their fans something extra before Eurovision: the EP Sanremo grande amore will be re-released incuding a DVD with interviews, bonus material, the Sanremo backstage and more. The New Edition will be released in Italy on May 12, 2015.  Lately the guys have been to Madrid and New York - meeting Woody Allen among others, the video has passed already 21,5 million views and even Conchita Wurst has showed her support for their entry. The tour tickets are selling so well they have added foru more dates to the set: Brescia, Cervia, Chieti and Palermo in July-August 2015.....

Franco Battiato is ready for the concert in the United States as part of Hitweek , and at the same time has re-released his latest album Open Sesame with two songs translated in English: The will ( Testamento ) and The dust of the pack ( La polvere del branco ) .  The album is out in the USA, Canada and UK. Listen samples here . This is not the first time he sings in English as in 1985 he released album Echoes of Sufi dances . Judging the samples he still has his irresistible accent :-) Tomorrow October 9 he will perform in New York's Highline Ballroom and the day after in Toronto's Phoenix Theater . In November-December the Maestro is back on road in Italy under title Diwan - L'Essenza del reale : November 21 Montecatini, 23 Genova, 25 Napoli, 27 Trieste, December 6 Brindisi, 8 Ancona, 9 Milano, 10 Torino. In November the live album will be also released, recorded in the two concerts together with Antony & The Johnsons and Alice in Florence and Verona ...

Marco Mengoni is still touring unil the end of the year with his Essenziale tour that seems like an everending affair as new dates are added all the time even to towns he has already been with it. But he is also working on his international career as we know the Spanish market invasion is in the making with songs in Spanish sometime in the future. Now it has been confirmed he will be also head lining the Billboards Hit Week 2013 where the famous magazine and trend setter showcases sounds from Italy, including also Franco Battiato and Erica Mou. It will be curious to hear then if he will perform in English or Spanish, or simply in Italian, as Los Angeles is also a center for Latin music market. Here are the concert by these two Eurovision stars: 09.10 Franco Battiato - Highline Ballroom, New York 10.10 Franco Battiato - Phoenix Theatre, Toronto 28.10 Marco Mengoni - Billboard Music Conference, Los Angeles 29.10 Marco Mengoni - Billboard Music Conference, Los Angeles This...
