Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

 Now as Spain has withdrawn from Eurovision song contest at least in 2026, let's have a look of some Spanish favorites of mine over the year. As always, the Eurovision entries are being released in various versions; either being revamped for the contest or having a change of language or just simply an alternative version of genre or whatever. Here's a collection of season 2024 entries and their variations starting with Finland's Windows95man's No rules in its fabulous Enigmastic 90's Spa mix. Love it! (And yes, that's Sibelius in the background!) ... but that's not all! They also did a symphonic version with Espoo's Tapiola Sinfonietta orchestra!  No rules! We follow with France. Slimane delivers the perfect ballad Mon amour but in a Meya Rework mix with more beats and stuff. I may prefer the original as it's just perfection.  Italy's Angelina Mango has recorded a Spanish verison with Alvaro de Luna Azerbijan's Fahree feat. Ilkin Dovlatov reworked their entry a bit Slimanesque way. It's quite wonderful.  Spain's Nebulossa has rercorded Zorra with Mexican superstar Gloria Trevi....

One of the funny details in this season's Eurovision is that Nebulossa participated in Una voce per San Marino last year (and didn't even make the final) and won Benidorm Fest this year  while Megara participated in Benidorm Fest last year and won Una voce per San Marino this year.  RTVE received 825 submissions for the third reborn Benidorm Fest and 16 were chosen for two semifinals before the grand final. Nebulossa won after winning the televote, being tied first in the jury vote with St.Pedro and placing second in demoscopic jury behind Jorge Gonzalez.  Nebulossa is married couple Maria Mery Bas (who also happens to be the oldest this year at 55) and Mark Dasousa (50). They have been married over 20 years and have two kids. Mery has been running a beauty salong among other things while Mark has been involved in music as author and producer.
