ESC 2015 ESTONIA: LISTEN TO EESTILAUL ENTRIES

Estonian television has published here all the songs taking part in Eestilaul 2015. This national final once again proves to be the most alternative and independent of the all national selections not really caring much about the so called "Eurovision formula" and thus rather entertaining and interesting affair in all. Ten out of 18 songs are in Estonian, which is also very refreshing. Several familiar names among the artists from previous Eestilauls and even one winner and Eurovision veteran, Robin Juhkental aka Malcom Lincoln (2010 with Siren ). Once again I have no clue who could win this. It may become easier to predict after hearing and seeing them on stage, and after the semifinal results and seeing who did pull the rights strings with the voters. Elisa Kolk, Maia Vahtramäe, Demie feat. Janice, Daniel Levi, Triin Niitoja & John4 and Luisa Värk may have the most Eurovision friendly songs but it doesn't mean they would have the best songs or be the best cho...

Tonight: Second semifinal in Estonia

Estonia will select another five songs to the final tonight. Amongst tonight's artists we have previous Eurovision entrant Malcom Lincoln and Soul Militia, the 2001 Eurovision winner. Or their backing group depending which way look at it or read the artist's name. And Lenna, who according the Finnish movie posters has already won Eestilaul 2012.... UPDATE : Traffic, Lenna, Tenfold Rabbit, Birgit and Telle made it to the final. 1. Traffic – NASA 2. Lenna– Mina Jään 3. Malcolm Lincoln – Bye 4. Tenfold Rabbit – Oblivion 5. Birgit Õigemeel – You’re Not Alone 6. Soul Militia – The Future is Now 7. Mimicry - The Destination 8. Orelipoiss – Zombi 9. Teele Viira – City Nights 10. Cat Eye – Ride

Malcolm Lincoln in Helsinki

Helsinki's Senate Square hosts two special events during Helsinki Week. On Friday June 11 Turku will present itself as one of the two Culture Capital of Europe in 2011 and on Sunday 13 it's the other one's turn: Tallinn. Headlining the event is Malcolm Lincoln described as "Estonian electropop on the edge of success". Malcolm Lincoln represanted Estonia in the Eurovision with Siren failing to make the final, and their debut album and new single is called Loaded with zoul.

Oslo 2010: Day 5 - Estonia

Second rehearsal also for the birthday boy Robin or Malcolm Lincoln of Estonia. His legs are more rubbery than ever (makes me think of great Jahn Teigen in Paris) and vocally he is good as always. It's the song that's dull. Well, not entirely, there are parts that I like but some parts are just like a sleeping pill and it doesn't come togerher to me. I don't think this will qualify but if it does I'm not very surprised, it might appeal to "artistic" voters... Video .

Estonia: Malcolm got presidential

The Estonian represant Malcolm Lincoln surprised both president of Estonia Hendrik Ilves as well as president of Finland Tarja Halonen when the latter was in Tallinn for the official visit. He performed his Siren along with three other songs from their forthcoming Loaded with Zoul album. Malcolm recently signed an international deal with Universal Finland & Baltics. Apparently Halonen appreciated them a lot giving them thumbs up!
