EUROVISION SLOVENIA: MY FAVOURITES OVER THE YEARS

Now as Slovenia has withdrawn from Eurovision song contest at least in 2026, let's have a look of some Slovenian favorites of mine over the year. I have always had a soft spot for their debut entry in 1993.  Enjoy! 2011 Maja Keuc - No one (13th) 1997 Tanja Ribič - Zbudi se (10th) 2001 Nuša Derenda - Energy (7th) 2006 Anžej Dežan - Mr Nobody (sf 16th) 2015 Maraaya - Here for you (14th) 1993 IX Band - Tih deževen dan (22nd) 2008 Rebeka Dremelj - Vrag naz vzame (sf 11th) 2019 Zalagasper - Sebi (15th) 2012 Eva Boto - Verjamem (sf 17th) There would have been quite a few to pick up as well but these sounded the ones at this time and space.  Special mentions go to: 1996 Regina - Dan najlepših sanj (21st) 2002 Sestre - Samo ljubezen (13th) 2023 Joker Out - Carpe diem (21st) 2018 Lea Sirk - Hvala, ne! (22nd) 2025 Klemen - How much time do we have left (sf 13)

EUROVISION 2025: REHEARSAL DAYS 1-2 IN PHOTOS - SEMIFINAL ONE FIRST LOOK

The infamous three (3) photos are out ( read more here ) for the semifinal one. Apparently there are no major changes the first day for what we have already seen in national finals or music videos but just updated and more polished and adapted performances for Eurovision rules (less people on stage for Sweden) and the bigger stage. Several wardrobe changes though. The day two brings more changes and even unseen before stagings to the first semifinal set. Azerbaijan is all newand apparently works fine. They have also dancers while San Marino has lost them and has instead accordion and tambourine instrumentalists along with the masked singers. Croatia has also come up with a new staging and the one from Cyprus has been a lot talked and speculated beforehand and seems to be delivering. If they only had a song to match, too! EUROVISION 2025: BLOGILKAR'S HOME JURY RESULTS, VOL.6 - PLACES 14. - 17.

It's the time again: Blogilkar's home jury of Eurovision fans, non-fans and common viewers from teenagers to nearly 60 years old have watched and listened giving points from 1 to 10 plus a special 12 points to be awarded to the one favorite. In case of a tie the ranking was done by highest points received by any juror(s). And yes, the result is somewhat surprising here and there. Last year our winner was NQ Czechia but the winner Switzerland was 2nd and runner up Croatia 3rd.  Slovenia might be a surprise here for fandom but mostly it was well liked among us - except the angsty teenagers. Czechia somewhat underperformed in points vs. comments. 14. SLOVENIA  58 Slovenia scored one 2 and one 3 but the rest was between 6 and 9 15. CZECHIA  58 Czechia scored a solid string from 5 to 9 with one odd 3 16. GREECE  57 Greece got a couple of 9s and the rest between 5 and 8 with one off 2. 17. AZERBAIJAN  56 Very variable between 3 and 9 Check out places 18. to 21. here

EUROVISION 2025 REVIEWS: SWITZERLAND, SLOVENIA, ISRAEL AND GEORGIA

It's time to kick of the usual reviews. The opinions are all mine and if I don't like some song it's simply just not my cup of tea so to speak. If I like something you dislike or hate, it's fine, too. No stresso, no need to be depresso it's just music and tastes that re diverse and therefor beautiful! I also try to predict their success come May a little bit but as we know once the staging is out everything may change, remember Fuego and Rise like a phoenix for example? For this series I have grouped the songs in fours as usual as the songs may have similarities or something in common. Some fours came out beautifully, the others.... well not so well. Here comes the sixth part! SWITZERLAND -Zoë Më - Voyage This is one of those songs that haven't yet quite clicked with me. I have a feeling I should like this a lot more than I do right now. It's in theory just my cup of tea but something... I don't know. I get some Carla Bruni vibes (that are positive) but....
