Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

In the Gabbani News today: Francesco Gabbani will be headlining the annual Primo Maggio aka First of May concert in Rome. And it's not just an outdoor concert, it's a guhe one! Organized every year since 1990 this long and huge concert, also known as Concertone (wich literally means something beyond huge) in Rome's Piazza di San Giovanni Laterano gathers together hundreds of thousends of people, up to one million at times it seems..... Now imagine this crowd doing the Gorilla Dance shouting Alè! Namaste!!  I. Just. Can't. Wait.  PS. Occidentali's karma is over 88 million....

Well, the title might be a bit misleading but that's a reference to her return to prime time TV in Italy and did she rock? Yes, indeed. Her previous effort in Quelli che il calcio may have been a little tired and uninspired, but after the OGAE Italy convention and concert in Bologna she was back in form and did five songs, including of course L'amore è femmina and Per sempre that you can see and hear here with a cover of Nina Simone, from whom she took her stage name from. This was Nina's third consecutive presence in this annual mega event.  One more concert to go in Turin and she's ready to get ready for Baku 2012 where she's one of the main contenders for victory is you believe bookmakers and various polls. Wouldn't I love to go to Rome again. Or Turin actually. Apparently.
