Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

In less than five days we will finally know who are the 22 (yes, 22. Carlo Conti announced a few days ago there will be 22 Big instead of 20 this year "as the bids were so good it was hard to choose") Big ones are.  On top of the names speculated and rumored before (read all about them in the post by clicking Sanremo banner on top of this page) new ones in the last minute include Amara, Loredana Bertè, Samuel Romano (ex-Subsonica now solo), Riccardo Sinigallia and Paola Iezzi (ex Paola & Chiara). Even Toto Cutugno is mentioned all of sudden.... Some interesting names rumored as songwriters as well. Amara (for Fiorella Mannoia), Giorgia (for Sergio Sylvestre), Raige (for Marco Carta), Zibba (for Marco Masini), Jovanotti (for Samuel Romano), Giuseppe Anastasi (Ron), Sergio Endrigo (for Riccardo Sinigallia) ... And how many rappers tere will be this time? Baby K ? Briga ? Raige ?  Grido ? Moreno ? Clementino ? On the other hand it had been confirme...

Sanremo 2014 gets another surprise. One of the songs, sadly one of my favorites. Riccardo Sinigallia 's Prima di andare via , the very song he qualified for the final has been disqualified. Apparently he has performed the song live already last year in some gig somewhere so a handful of people did hear it before Sanremo in public. Rules are rules, but...  Tonight he is on stage anyways. He and his record company have 24 hours to prove the matter wrong (in theory) and tonight he will sing a cover and there's no voting. Tonight the remaining seven Big artists will present their two songs and just like last night one is sent to final with 50-50 televote-journalists in press center vote.
