Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Hungary will choose four finalists tonight. Fur entries will reach the final. Three will be chosen by the jury and onemore by the televoters among the remaining acts. For this blogger there's one above all the rest in this rather mediocre (for A Dal) semifinal: Joci Pápai. Hypnotic, ethnic and fantastic. Love it! The second semifinal takes place tomorrow. One of the most interesting and highest standard national finals around kicks off in Hungary when A Dal 2017 starts tonight. The format has stayed more or less the same as previous years. Ten songs in the running tonight, five of them will go on to the next step. Four of them are will be picked up by the judges Caramel, Zséda, Károly Frenreisz and Miklós Both.   Hungary has revealed their participants for the annual A Dal contest, aka their selection for the Eurovision song contest. The shows start on January 14 and as usual there will be three heats, then two semifinals and then the grand final. Countless familiar names from the previous A Dals taking part again. among them Eurovision veteran András Kállay Saunders who has declared he will try until he wins Eurovision. Do we complain? No. Olág Gergö is behind Roma Soul, another familiar name to watch out. And Gabi Toth as there, too, as Totova....
