Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

"Singing Fernando for the movie Mamma mia! Here we go again was such fun I decided to record a whole album of ABBA songs" told Cher earlier this year. And here it is. Match made in glitter heaven. And among the coutless ABBA classics Cher does also Eurovision song contest winner Waterloo ... and some less covered tunes like One of us and The name of the game . The arrangements are pretty true to the originals without trying to update and alter them too much. But it's a Cher album so get ready for some heavy auto-tune effects. And hooray for that!

While we are waiting for Amir's second album Addictions to be released next month he has released another track following États d'amour on it on Spotify:   Sors de ma tête . Again written by Nazim it features same oriental sounds that with Amir just perfectly. The other song out is Higher, from the French version of The LEGO Ninjago movie soundtrack   he's also doing some dubbing for. This one's not going to be on his album, it seems, and it's just fine like that. :-)

Goodbye to yesterdays plays in the soundtrack and trailer of the film Kuudes kerta and Stig Rästa is one of the actors. How cool is that? Despite the fact Estonian tabloids are reporting he's playing a sex addict, he's not. The main character of the movie is, and Stig is only his collegue. Anyways, he tells to Ilta-Sanomat it was a bit challenging to act in Finnish, since his Finnish had gotten a bit rusty over the years and he had to relearn it and now he does interviews fluently.  It's no secret Stig has close ties with Finland. Even in the Eurovision when Finland was kicked out in the semifinals while Estonia qualified he and Elina Born brought the Finnish flag to the press conference and placed it right next to the Estonian one. We are forever grateful. Thank you.  Meanwhile he's back at Eurovision national selections with Elina Born in Estonia, and maybe somewhere else, too....
