SWEDEN: MELODIFESTIVALEN 2019 FINAL TONIGHT

Last but not least, Sweden will choose its entry for Tel Aviv 2019 Eurovision in Melodifstivalen, this season's last national final. 12 songs made it to th final from four semi-finals and on second chance round. John Lundvik seems the one to beat and Jon Henrik's fat might be once again be close but not winning. Anna is after a revenge and we can't rule out Hanna & LIAMOO either just yet.  This blogger's favorites are Anna and Mohombi, and John would be fine, too. Anyone else will once again drop Sweden off my top-20 or so....  1. Jon Henrik Fjällgren - Norrsken (Goeksegh) 2. Lisa Ajax - Torn 3. Mohombi - Hello 4. Lina Hedlund - Victorious 5. Bishara - On My Own 6. Anna Bergendahl - Ashes to Ashes 7. Nano - Chasing Rivers 8. Hanna Ferm & LIAMOO - Hold You 9. Malou Prytz - I Do Me 10. John Lundvik - Too Late for Love 11. Wiktoria - Not with Me 12. Arvingarna - I Do

SWEDEN: MELODIFESTIVALEN FINAL TONIGHT

Sweden's Melodifestivalen 2017 comes to an end tonight, thankfully without that overrated crap Loreen proposed in the line up. I have said this before but it's yes, it's a great show but the songs? Sigh. Most of them are mediocre pop tunes I have no wish to listen to when this is over. My wet dream is Owe will win in the end just to piss off the Euroboys ;-p The f-word is still flying around thanks to Lisa while Robin apparently has changed it getting ready for Kyiv. His is one of those where the show and song meet each other and are in balance. Same goes for Mariette. The most original and real song is maybe Nano's. Wiktoria is as overrated as she was last year. So in short my Top-3 is Nano, Robin and Mariette. Anyone else will have no place in my Top-20, or maybe eben Top-30....  And yes, I'd love to like Jon Henrik but the song isn't good enough this time.  Ace Wilder - Wild Child Boris René - Her Kiss Lisa Ajax with - I Don’t Give A Robin Bengtss...

SWEDEN: MELODIFESTIVALEN SEMIFINAL FOUR

Sweden's Melodifestivalen 2017 has reached its final semifinal, of the season that has been in my books the worst ever but apparently some Euroboys are also waking up and seeing what it is as there have been some complaint online as well about the level of the songs. I have to say I don't even like the stage that much this year, nor the presenting trio.  But tonight it's all about Loreen. She's trying to tell everywhere she doesn't care about the competition but we all know she has to win. And then she has to win in Kyiv, anything else would be a failure and flop. To save her skin and her legend like  status she's gained among fans she'd better lose in Sweden, become a victim and shine her euphoric crown again.... But let's see how the full song is as the snippet is rather confusing and unmelodic to sound like an Eurovision winner. Otherwise this fourth semi is maybe the most deecent of them all. I'm curious to hear Jon Henrik's effort in ...

ESC 2015 SWEDEN: FINAL LINE UP AND MY LITTLE REVIEW

Sweden, the most anticipated national selection by many, comes to an end this Saturday, giving us one of the very last songs for the Vienna 2015 line up. This season in Sweden has been dominated by young male artists and it would be quite a shock if one of them won't win it in the end. As the final is getting nearer all the pressure is building on Måns Z. Let's see if he will be third time lucky! Samir & Victor propably has a big local hit in their hands but Eurovision? No way. Good opener but that's all it is, one would not even notice it's actually in the competition.... JTR , another act with some following I suppose, next. Another useless filler in the line up. Medicore boyband stuff. Totally uninteresting. Dinah Nah trusts good old la, la, la and it's an okeyish uptempo number. Unfortunately Dinah herself is the weakest link in it with her flat voice and moves. Jon Henrik , first of the favorites offers a screen full of Lappish and Sami exotism (tha...

ESC 2015 SWEDEN: TESTOSTERONEFESTIVAL

Sweden has never won the Eurovision song contest with a male solo artist but this year they are really trying. The final next Saturday (along with the one in Norway) is the last of the season 2015 and it is filled with muscled guys who seem to love parade half naked showing off. Some of them can also sing and perform, some... well, a bit less so. The main contenders seem to be Måns Zelmerlöv and Eric Saade . Then there's  Jon Henrik Fjällgren to shake the things a bit. Let's see who wins that fight. It seems both Måns and Eric need to beat Jon first, but then also each other to win.  Samir Badran and Victor Frisk are also ready for the battle even if they had to make it through the second chance round. They know how to pose but that's just about all it is about... Barking dogs don't bite. Samir also challenges Linus Svenning  with the tattoo department. Linus can deliver, we know that, but Samir ... well, he gives great poses. And what about th...

ESC 2015 SWEDEN: MELODIFESTIVALEN SEMIFINAL THREE TOMORROW

Melodifestivalen semifinal three comes from Östersund. No previous winners in this heat but Ellen and Andreas Johnsson have already tasted some MF glory and success. Also in this heat Jon Henrik Fjällgren, Talent winner and a very interesting mix of Sami culture and Colombian temper. And after hearing the snippets this blogger thinks they saved the best last, in this semi at least. Namely Kristin and Jon Henrik should go to the final. As for the rest I don't really care who gets to the second chance as none moved me in any way whatsoever.... Ellen Benediktson - Insomnia Kalle Johansson - För din skull Andreas Weise - Bring out the fire Andreas Johnson - Living to die Isa - Don't stop Kristin Amparo - I see you Jon Henrik Fjällgren - Jag är fri (Manne leam frijje)
