EUROVISION - BEST OF THE DECADE: SERBIA

New series start: Let's kill some time having a look at the last decade and see who were the Top-10 best scoring countries in the Eurovision song contest in the past ten years. The ways to calculate are many and here I have used the simple average placement method (and it's not all so serious). First out Serbia! 2010 Milan Stanković - Ovo je Balkan (Ово је Балкан) - 13th *** 2011 Nina - Čaroban (Чаробан) - 14th * 2012 Željko Joksimović - Nije ljubav stvar (Није љубав ствар) - 3rd ***** 2013 Moje 3 - Ljubav je svuda (Љубав је свуда) - NQ (11th in semi-final) *** 2015 Bojana Stamenov - Beauty never lies - 10th *** 2016 Sanja Vučić ZAA - Goodbye (Shelter) - 18th **** 2017 Tijana Bogićević - In too deep - NQ (11th in semi-final) ** 2018 Sanja Ilić & Balkanika - Nova deca (Нова деца) - 19th **** 2019 Nevena Božović - Kruna (Круна) - 18th **** As a remainder, Serbia would have been represented by Hurricane (incl...

NEW RELEASES FROM EUROVISION STARS: POLI GENOVA, SEVERINA, MILAN STANKOVIC, MICHAL SZPAK AND JALA

Poli Genova has released Oshte . Her smile is as pretty and contagious as ever but the song isn't quite going anywhere.  Severina abandons her high heals and goes all rap hippy with Jala Brat in Otrove . Catchy summer number, nothing oh so original but fun to listen anyways :-) And her voice is fab as ever.  Milan Stankovic continues with the same sound and featuring the same Jala and Buba Corelli in Ego . This may have also been heard a milion times before but at summer time this rhythm works. Always! Even if released already this winter but it has twerking in it..... Michal Szpak offers 3,5 minutes of insignificant 80's inspired nonsense in Tic tac clock that comes with a pretty video shot in Italy and sponsored by Rock Star nail polish....

WklVids: Doug Strahm, Tom Goss, Gianna Nannini, Milan Stankovic

We start this week with a slap in the face of Russia & co with Doug Strahm 's Better this way . The video underlines quite heavily what he sings when telling this story, with an happy end. Yet, it's quite nice and sweet affair. Doug has also quite an interesting bio . While we are at it, let's give them another slap! Tom Goss has written an anthem for Gay bears with a funny video to go with it. Gianna Nannini has released 4th (or is it 5th?) single of her latest success album, In the rain . Also this video has a strong message and story.... Last but not least, Milan Stankovic is back with Od mene se odvikavaj . Nicely flavored with local sounds. Enjoy!

Milan Stankovic wins Barbara Dex award

Serbia's Milan Stankovic surely didn't pass unnoticed in the Eurovision 2010 in Oslo. He gets the prestigious Barbara Dex award for the worst dressed performer and therefor join Adók Zoli, Gisela, Verka Serduchka, Nonstop. Martin Vucic, Sanda Ladosi, t.A.T.u, Michalis Rakintzis, Piacek, Natalie Sorce, Lydia, Guildo Horn and Debbie Sherri in the hostory books with this . Hic! Hop hop!

Kuunkuiskaajat reveal their favourites tonight!

Even if Kuunkuiskaajat didn't make the final the girls have stayed in Oslo doing PR and having fun. Tonight they will be in Telenor arena watching the show in the audience. "We don't know who's gonna win but we have our favourites!" they say and here they are: 1. Serbia : Just so full of good humour. We like Balkan horn music. And Milan is so sweet! 2. Spain: Great spund. Daniel is very charismatic, with a twinkle in the eye - we could eat him! 3. Israel : Harel has amazing voice and charisma. He doesn't flirt with the camera, he goes into the music. The song has power, it's not a sugary ballad. 4. Iceland: Winner! Hera's singing is so effortless, amazing peronality. We will meet with Hera as soon as possible in Finland or in iceland. 5. Greece: Party song. Great choreography. The whole performance is filled with manly sweat! Heavenly testerone! 6. Georgia : Sofia is even better singer than Hera but Hera has more personality. 7. Belgium : Tom will ...

Oslo 2010: Day 5 - Serbia

If Aisha was wearing a some sort of a bathrobe the Serbian girls have taken the shower curtains from their hotel room and pimped them into a fancy dress that actually looks rather nice! The rotating tubes work nicely now, the choreography makes sense, the wooden lady is flexible. In short it's a sure qualifier! Dispite the disturbing hairstyle and challenging wardrobe - it all comes together in the end..  Video .

Hey Balcaneros, vamos!

Milan Stankovic has recorded a Spanish version of his Goran Bregovic penned Serbian entry for Oslo 2010. Sounds weird but actually it sounds pretty good! Judge yourself here .

The three for Serbia

The three names to battle out the ticket to oslo 2010 from Serbia have been revealed today: Milan Stankovic, Emina Jahovic and Oliver Katic ft Jelena Markovic. They will all perform the song Goran Bregovic has specially written for Eurovision on March 13 and people will televote the best combination.
