EUROVISION 2022: LATVIA - SUPERNOVA 2022 FINALIST REVIEW

Latvia's Supernova 2022 started with 16 chosen songs, and one more was added from ten additional songs based on online vote. We lost Eurovision veteran Katrina Dimanta in that round. Ten songs qualified for the final from semi-final with jury/televote 50-50 voting and this round we lost Markus Riva, who never stops trying. Eurovision veterans Aminata and Intars Busulis (in  BUJĀNS) made it. Half the songs seem to be joke entries, most of them horrid but two of them actually rise above the horrible being actually rather good. But in general the standard is very low..... The worst of all Baltics this year. Aminata is the designed winner but I kinda hope it's either Bad or He, she, you & me, or even better Es pabiju tur , simply because it's in Latvian.  Citi Zēni - Eat your salad * Ok, the opening lyrics got your attention for sure. And there's nothing else for me to get my attention. Groovy energetic performance of a song heard a million times in some adverts and ...

In Moscow 2009: Latvian chaos

Latvia looks and sounds just as expected: chaotic. No matter what language this song is sung, it's just a mess. I do like that slow dreamy part of the song - unfortunately it lasts only seconds... the rest is very shouty. And what's that with Intars flashlightning the ladies bums? This can be a null pointer or qualifier. I have no idea. http:// www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vpfxn5MaAtM

Latvia: Video made in Stockmann

The Finnish department store Stockmann once again has a link to Eurovision. After hosting an Eurovision shop during Helsinki 2007 and having the Eurovision winners Lordi and Dima Bilan performing in its flagship store in Helsinki previosuly, this year the Latvian preview video is mainly shot in the brandnew Riga store using both video footage from Intars Busulis performances and photos take by the fans in February. Intars and his band Sweatwaters were practising in the store and got a lot of help by the clients who were able to suggest them steps and movements to be used in the Moscow 2009 performance. As reported before the song will be sung in Russian in Moscow: http://youtube.com/watch?v=tWRk11JzfVQ
