Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Gustaph or Stef Caers (42) took a somehat surprise win in the Begian national final Eurosong 2023 for the Eurovision song contest in Liverpool, causing also a bit bitter words from runner ups who did win the televote and in the end lost by one point only.  Gustaph started his career already back in 2000 and scored a hit with his debut single Gonna lose you (as Steffen). After that he concentrated on his music studies and became more of a producer and vocal coach, as well as backing singer. He also fronted a band, Hercules and Love Affair  at some point. He's an Euroviison veteran, having provided backing vocals to both Sennek (2018) and Hooverphonic (2021). Now, he takes the spotlight with Because of you .  Final results: 1. After the 30 minutes techical rehearsal the countries have another 20 minutes rehearsal to polish their acts and after this they should be done with the camera angles, lighting and the rest. The serious business is on. The first acts are having their 30 minutes technical rehearsals to check out the stage, the lights, the camera angles - all this has been already worked out with substitute artists and on going negotitions between RTP and EBU people on spot and the delegations at home the past few weeks. Now it's time to put the theory into practise and make the necessary changes, adjustments and final touches and see how everything looks and feels like in the real world. I will be following the rehearsals at home, spicing up the comments with those picked up from social medias and websites. Enjoy! Israel - Netta - Toy Netta Barzilai (25) is this year's Francesco Gabbani, the one given as a winner before we hit the stage in Lisbon, she has gathered record breaking Youtube views and Spotify streams and is the one everyone's talking about and also dividing opinions to heat up the discussions. I liked this when I heard it the fifrst time for it's craziness, then I put it aside a bit when everyone was screaming this is the Winner and eventually settled to like it a lot. It's refreshing, different, memorable with a gimmick everyone will note. It's fun! Yet I tend to think this is more like Dancing lasha tumbai , a great runner up rather than a winner. To be that it's maybe just a bit too weird and crazy for the great public who seeing/hearing this for the first time might take it as a joke. Another leak of the season. Sennek was supposed to publish her entry for Eurovision song contest 2018 undeer Belgian flag tomorrow but it leaked already last night - via Russia apparenlty. And it's dark and mysterious, Bond-esque elegant ballad and yes, Belgium is flying to the final again and to the left side of the scoreboard easily. Maybe.
