Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

  Estonia has its second Eesti laul 2018 semifinal tonight and will give us five more finalists. Tonight's offering is rather varied with some weird songs and honestly I have no idea how Estonians will vote - will they go for the safe or the alternative? It feels anyways like the favorites were already in the first semifinal a week ago. This blogger is all for Sky and Tempel , the rest it insignificant for me...   Estonia is thinking big this time. First of all the national final has been moved to Saku Suurhall, the very venue of the Eurovision song contest 2002 and if we believe the rumours most every artist in Estonia is trying to be part of it - among them several previous participant and those who made it to runner up before. Time for a revenge!  There are so many top girls that if they all make it we can expect some serious cat fights: Getter Jaani, Grete Paia, Laura, Ines and Liis Lemsalu just to name a few. But the guys aren't any less: Daniel Levi, Ott Lepland, Robin Juhkental, Rolf Roosalu and Mikk Mäe, Rasmus Rändvee, Rauno Pella and Silver Sepp . Throw in accapella group Estonian Voices and some Estonia-Finnish EMD with Popidiot . One more exciting thing for Eurovision fans are the spokespersons as every year several previous (and sometimes future) Eurovision entrants re-appear to announce the votes of their country, or previous hosts like this year Alsou for Russia. or she's a double as she also did Eurovision as singer. For Italy it's lovely Federica Gentile, for San Marino John Kennedy O'Connor, a very familiar name for Eurovision freaks. And Finland gives the honor to Kristiina Wheeler, who would be a great entrant herself (What are you waiting for??). Estonia has its second semifinal this Saturday. Several already familiar names in this one from Rolf to Birgit, from Tenfold Rabbit to Facelift Deer and Liisi Koikson. My favorite by far is though  Põhja-Tallinn. Only that the song should be then totally reworked for Eurovision.... Cut a minute, get rid of the kids... (Oh, they did it already here ) We will see if they will present on stage like on video, or according the Eurovision rules already? And also Estonia has made public the songs and artists taking part in the semifinals on February 16 and 23 before the final on March 2, 2013. These 20 were picked out from the 157 songs submitted. Several familiar names here, too. Tenfold Rabbit, Birgit Õigemeel, Liisi Koikson and Rolf Raasalu at least. Will Rolf finally make it? Or is it Birgit?
