ESC 2017 KYIV - DAY 5: GEORGIA SECOND REHEARSAL

If you look Tamara from afar and turn off the sound you might think it's Diana Ross on stage with that dress and huge hair. And that's just about it. The song is a standard, and the backdrop doesn't make any sense or support the song in anyway. Lots of red and then random images. Add dry ice first and pyros next. The excitement comes mainly if her hair will catch fire...   Unoriginal and uninteresting to say the least as a song and staging. She does vocally a pretty solid job but honestly she doesn't come across the screen as a very likable one, does she? I'm almost scared of her.... I would say this will remain in semi and it's ok.

ESC 2017 KYIV - DAY 1: GEORGIA FIRST REHEARSAL

Georgia has dropped apparently the newspaper clips and anti-Russian news - among other tragedies and world disasters - from the backdrop and instead goes for the similar runway feel Sweden was sporting right before. I still don't think this deserves to qualify for the final but then it's Georgia.... Very low key rehearsal for her, she will reveal the dress and look only later, and really let that voice out. A voice you either like or you don't.....

Singer, songwriter and actress Tako Gachechiladze (34) won with the self penned Keep the faith . She already almost got to Eurovision in 2009 being then part of the winning team Stephane & 3G with We don't wanna Put in , the song that was withdrawn/disqualified in the middle of the Russian-Georgian war and Putin being the prime minister at the time. She also participated in the national final in 2008 placing 10th. She kept the faith and is back now - again with some more or less hidden political statements, in the backdrop at least. The song is a typical Disney ballad with very American style motivated lyrics, apparently aimed at women to be strong, believe in ...
