EUROVISION: NEW SOUNDS FROM BENJAMIN INGROSSO, AMIR, LENA PHILIPSSON, GUY SEBASTIAN

NEW SOUNDS FROM GUY SEBASTIAN, MIKOLAS JOSEF, BRAINSTORM, LORDI

WHAT I LISTENED TO IN THE 80'S, vol. 99 LIONEL RITCHIE

Motown, my great love, has given me so many favorite artists and Lionel Ritchie was one of them. He went solo in the 80's and scored some great hits and once again Diana Ross was there for the launch. Their duet Endless love was a #1 hit and Lionel would score four other solo ones. A true legend. And still around. Check out also

EUROVISION: NEW SOUNDS FROM SAKIS ROUVAS, NAVIBAND, ANNA BERGENDAHL, GUY SEBASTIAN

EUROVISION: NEW SOUNDS FROM ZOË, IMRI, GUY AND LENA

Another look & listen of what the Eurovision stars have been up to lately.... Ever lovely  ZOË has released already late last year this wonderful feelgood tune C'est la vie . Catchy and 100% ZOË, what could you ask for more? Only more of this same.... Imri has been bitten by the Latin fever it seems and has released earlier this month this summer song with mixed Hebrew and Spanish lyrics. Imrico , Ay que rico! Also released already late last year Guy Sebastian 's Before I go  that sounds like works of Symphonix with its beat and gospel choirs. The same pool Sweden is fishing this year. Great song anyways. Eurovision 2010 winner Lena is also having a minor Latin vibe in Don't lie to me , second single off from her new album out in April. Her previous single Thank you already gave glues of this new sound.

AUSTRALIA: CELEBRATE DIVERSITY - MIXED ORIGINS FOR THE ARTISTS

Australia is now taking part for the fourth time in Eurovision song contest and has been faitful for its idea of selecting artists of mixed origins, if that has been intentional - I think I read somewhere it is or at least was for the first three participations. Either way, Jessica Mauboy continues the trend. Guy Sebastian was born in Malaysia and moved to Australia with his family when he was six. His father has Malaysian Indian and Tamil blood  with a hint of Ceylonese and Portuguese. His mother is English-Portuguese and was raised in India. He later became the very first Australian Idol in 2003. Dami Im is pure South Korean. She moved to Australia when she was nine and represents the large Korean population in the country. She won X Factor Australia in 2013. Yorta Yorta art Isaiah Firebrace is a real Australian aboriginal. His father is Yorta Yorta and his mother is Gunditjmara. He won X Factor Australia 2016 and went on to Eurovision within months. Fight...

NEW SOUNDS FROM JUSTS, GUY SEBASTIAN, EMIN & ANI LORAK, KRISTINA

Latvian Justs is back with another goodie, Are you there . Electric beats and his voice mixed with a video full of skaters, models, empty industrial spaces.... Nice effort! Australian Guy Sebastian is back big time, and Bloodstone is his latest from his new album Conscious featuring lovely gospely undertones. Great beat and great vocals again.  Eurovision runner up Ukrainian Ani Lorak and Eurovision interval act Emin from Azerbaijan are hitting the Russian charts with  Prostit'sya (Проститься) that comes with a beautifully shot bath tub video. The song itself is a very typical Russian radio charts song that could be sung by any of the big names. But it's a very pleasant one masterfully performed by the stars.  Slovakian (and Czechian) superstar Kristina has released Sympatie (from Tri želania/Three wishes film soundtrack) continuing her endless string of hits. Slovakian tv, wake up and send her off to Eurovision again!
