Spain will keep on seeking artist tomorrow in the show Destino Eurovisión Gala 2. The first gala was a total success with more than 2 million viewers and less than 3 hours duration (this is a real success). It was the most viewed show of the night, beating the yellow press shows. This makes me believe that tomorrow it is going to be again the same. Looking at this views, it is more clear that the TVE is not looking for an artist to bring the 3rd victory back to Spain after 42 years, a record of no-wins that only Portugal has beated , but for a show to ensure the audience on Friday nights.
I am also curious to see if Auryn will survive the following rounds after the announcement of BBC about Blue representing United Kingdom. Anyway, let's focus and see what is expected tomorrow. On a personal note my three best favorites have promising performances. Alazán will perform Bandido, this can put them straight to the final since they are sister and niece from Azucar Moreno; after the Melody dissapointment being kicked out by Soraya. Spain has a again a unique chance of bringing some truth Latin Spanish music. Esmeralda Grao who was already in Eurovision as backing vocalist for Mikel Herzog in Birmingham, will go for Nacida para amar which is one the best songs ever Spain sent to Eurovision and propably the biggest injustice for Spain after Eres tú; not sure if this is the right choice since anyone barely remember that Nina went once to Eurovision, although she is a famous artist in Spain. Lorena Rosales who surprised in the auditions with an outstanding performance of Dum Tek Tek, will go this time for My Number One, something actual and fresh...exactly what Spain needs.
The rest of candidates will perform the following songs: Pau Quero - A-ba-ni-bi, Don Johnson's - Yo soy aquel, Sergi Albert - Hold me now, Mónica Guech - Believe, Sebas - Molitva, Melissa - Après toi, Sometimes - Waterloo, Valeria Antonella - Save your kisses for me and We - Enséñame a cantar
Sebas will do Molitva? This cannot be missed, it is like Demis Roussos would be singing Su Canción. As guests artist we will have Malú, David Civera and Merche who is also part of the jury and took part as Luna in Eurocanción 2001 ending 6th after Civera's Dile que la quiero.
