ITALY: SANREMO 2026 TICKET PRICES GO UP

Fandom tends to complain about the Eurovision song contest tickets but have a look at the Sanremo 2026 tickets and let them prices sink in. it would truly be a once in a lifetime experience. Maybe I should start saving already - if only it would be easy to get those tickets even with those prices: You must register for a sort of a lottery to get a right to buy those tickets if you are lucky, months ahead..... First to fourth night stalls tickets 240 euro x night Stalls tickets for the grand final 875 euro Stalls ticket carnet 1.835 euro for five nights First to fourth night Gallery tickets 132 euro x night Gallery tickets for the grand final 430 euro Gallery ticket carnet 958 euro for five nights Note there's no discount for the five nights carnet.  Teatro Ariston, the venue of Sanremo music festival was built between 1953 and 1963 and ultra modern venua at that time it has now became small and unfit for huge tv productions and endless torn in side between RAI and the town o...

ITALY: SANREMO 2020 WILL TAKE PLACE ON FEBRUARY 4-8

The 70th Sanremo festival will take place in Teatro Ariston on February 4-8, 2020. That is all that is known from the meeting between RAI and the city of Sanremo officials earlier this month. Since Claudio Baglioni stepped down as the artistic director and the host of the past two very succesful editions no one seems to know who will be given this job, or will there be separate artistic director and host. Many names have been rumored, denied and dismissed as the possible artistic director from the return of Carlo Conti to Mina to Andrea Bocelli and lately Lucio Presta, while for the hosting job Amadeus and Alessandro Cattalan have been the most gossiped ones but Baglioni could also be an unlikely but possible last minute call to act as both again, or the eternal other choices Fabio Fazio or Paolo Bonolis. Bonolis however has often stated he would do it once Sanremo moves out of the tiny theater and he could make it a big scale show like Eurovision in some arena. Meanwhile Sanremo ...

ITALY: LAURA PAUSINI RETURNED TO SANREMO 25 YEARS AFTER

The queen arrived, still a bit down with the voice but she came, sung and conquered singing alone and with Claudio Baglioni and not only: she also went outside to sing to the people infront of the Teatro Ariston. Things only she can permit to do ... in her Giorgio Armani Privé long black dress.... Hope she didn't catch the laringhite again!  Laura's career started just in Sanremo 25years ago in 1993 when she won the Newcomers with La solitudine . The year after she placed third with Strani amori among Big and has sold millions on albums and recorded in Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and English and become the best known Italian pop singer ever globally.

ITALY: SANREMO FESTIVAL NO LONGER IN TEATRO ARISTON?

Surprising news coming from Sanremo front. The days of Festival della canzone Italiana in Teatro Ariston could be over! If not next year maybe in 2019. This has been confirmed by Director of Rai1 Andrea Fabiano, who was also present in Kyiv for the Eurovision song contest. He has praised the show, the flow and technology and is so impressed by all of it that he most likely wants to bring Sanremo closer to the us very familiar Eurovision like show. But to do that, Teatro Ariston seating only 2000 is way toó small.  This brings in mind also the words of Paolo Bonolis, one of Italy's leading hosts and television personalities who has been the most mentioned name as a possible Sanremo host again for 2018 now that sadly Carlo Conti won't be available to do it for the 4th year in a row. But he has also expressed his admiration for Eurovision for its look and feel and has earlier declared he would only accept Sanremo if it is staged somewhere else but Teatro Ariston..... Let...
