Fandom tends to complain about the Eurovision song contest tickets but have a look at the Sanremo 2026 tickets and let them prices sink in. it would truly be a once in a lifetime experience. Maybe I should start saving already - if only it would be easy to get those tickets even with those prices: You must register for a sort of a lottery to get a right to buy those tickets if you are lucky, months ahead.....

Teatro Ariston, the venue of Sanremo music festival was built between 1953 and 1963 and ultra modern venua at that time it has now became small and unfit for huge tv productions and endless torn in side between RAI and the town of Sanremo. The capacity is somewhere between 2000-3000 depending on source. A far cry from 10.000+ venues used for Eurovision song contest. Anyways, after a long battle a new contract was signed for 2026 but the future of the contest in Sanremo remains still uncertain.
Originally it started in nearby Casin?o di Sanremo before moving to Teatro Ariston in 1977 and has stayed there since except in 1990 when it was moved to Palafiori, the Sanremo flower market, due renovation of Ariston. Rai is demanding a new arena to be built in Sanremo or they might pack their bags and go elsewhere in the future.
