Who reads this blog knows I love BEHM. And apparently I'm not alone as last Friday night she did history in the 35 years of Emma awards (aka Finnish Grammy) in Helsinki Fair and exhibition hall where the delayed (usually the gala takes place sometime february-March) show this year was staged without audience. She picked up every awards she was nominated for and on top of that her producer got the Emma as the producer of the year.
Her rise to the stardom has been very quick. She bought a guitar just a few years ago and started writing songs. In 2017 one song she wrote was picked up by rapper Pikku G as a chorus for his hit song and he wanted her to sing it. More collaborations followed and her songs got noticed by other artists as well. More feats and finally in autumn 2019 she released her debut single Hei rakas, that was actually a bet with her producer Sakke Aaalto (aka artist Keko Salata) who writes a more sugary love song. The rest is history. In 2020 three of her songs made the Spotify's top-10 most streamed songs of the year. Sadly due to current situation she only has had three live gigs in a club and despite the huge popularity has never performed in major arenas yet.
Previously only Jenni Vartiainen in 2011 has won seven Emmas in one year.
