Here's the rest of today's first rehearsals for the semi-final two's second half. Catch up with the first part here.
Finland's Blind Channel
promised an updated version of their UMK staging and that it is. Add
more redness and also red middle fingers for every guy as EBU forbid
them showing the middle fingers up in the air as they sing, too. The
energy is there and they own the stage, camera angles work and they
are changing fast to boost the energy. Shame there's not full audience in the hall as
with them they would have blown away the roof of Ahoy. Are we in for
one of Finland's best placings ever?
Latvia's Samanta Tina,
dressed in dark green with three dancer/backing singers looks pretty
static after Finland and nothing much happens – except the
screaming called singing if you ask this blogger. Add visors and very ugly backdrop. This should NOT
qualify.
Switzerland's Gjon's
Tears, today's odds winning candidate offers us quite simple staging that plays with lights and white/black. In my opinion his wardrobe
choice isn't very pleasing but maybe it goes together with this
modern dance like simple choreography? I don't know.
Denmark's Fyr og Flamme,
last but not least bring their national final performance updated.
They also were maybe first with the 80's vibe and purple neon lights
and now they are all over the place! Sadly they are the last one of
the semi-finalists so when it's their turn the whole thing might
already be a bit seen and done?
