BBC has revealed their cards today. Six songs and artists running for Eurovision song contest 2017 in Kyiv. The final will take place next Friday at BBC Two at 7.30pm. Mel Giedroyc will be hosting once again and despite the title You decide an expert jury has been added to the mix this year, including Bruno Tonioli, Sophie Ellis Bextor and CeCe Sammy.  And the songs? Well, they are all decent. Nothing extraordinary or earth shakingly good. Very middle of the road "nice" ones. And we all know what happens to "nice" ones..... Freedom hearts and What are we made of caught this blogger's attention a bit more than the others.... Most have promising starts and verses but the choruses are a major let down.... Among songwriters Gabriel Alares and Emmelie De Forest. Five songs seem to have Swedish or Danish songwriters involved, all singers are X Factor rejects. Really UK? Is this the best you can offer? Olivia Garcia - Freedom hearts (Gabriel Alares, Seb...

BBC hosted it's first national final since forever and six acts took the stage. No frills simple staging for everyone and a lot of weak vocals. In the end the best vocals were by Joe and Jack, and Karl did well, too, but the rest.... A bit surprisingly Joe and Jake then won it, too, with You're not alone. Here's a photogallery by EurovisionJack on the spot. Enjoy! Bianca didn't win Darline should have won..... ...Karl had good vaocals but meh song Matthew James was meh altogether Måns was there So was Katrina who was boombastic with her Love shine a light ! Moments before the results.... The End.

UK and BBC are staging a national final for the first time in years and six songs are in the running. There will be televoting/internet voting only.  Joe and Jake - You're not alone They met whe auditioning for The Voice. They both also got three chairs turning. Joe is 21, Jake 20. Joe used to be a rapper but luckily dropped that career. Their song is nice little pop tune for radio. Harmless. Bianca - Shine a little light Bianca used to be in a girlband, now she gets a song from Leona Lewis. She can play cello - sadly not in this number - and is an Elton John scholarship winner as a teenager. Her song is another radio friendly one. Something the other national finals all over Europe are filled with - usually sung by broken English though so this is a bit of a relief to listen to. Dulcima - When you go Dulcma are singer-songwriters Tomas Twyman and Dulcima Showan. They met and started singing together in 2011. Their song starts nicely when Tom sings alone, then Dulc...
