EUROVISION 2026: MALTA, NORWAY AND UKRAINE REVIEW

I wasn't planning on doing personal reviews this year either but here we go after all. Truth to be said I have listened the entries 0-2 times before sitting down now to comment them. Let's go! The usual Blogilkar's home jury will reunite later and the results revealed in due time. meanwhile, my thoughts and comments on the entries of Eurovision song contest series is right here.  Malta - Aiden - Bella **** Now this is a curious one: One of my favourites, reasonably high in odds yet I have a feeling this will place somewhere in 20s in the grand final. I hope not! Beautiful and old fashioned but in a good way (like Italy) and among all these weird puzzle songs this has a melody that starts, grows unlike most. Aiden finally made it and I'm happy it's with this kind of a song rather than those Ritmus and other "girl pops" with Latin thrown in. Secretly I wish and hope for a Top-10. Norway -  Jonas Lovv - Ya ya ya ** I didn't follow the Norwegian selectio...

EUROVISION 2026: UKRAINE - LELÉKA WINS VIDBIR 2026 WITH RIDNYM

Ukraine's national final for Eurovision song contest 2026, Vidbir, has had its final and was won by Ukraine is the only country that has managed to qualify every time they have participated plus they have won three times and been runner up twice in the past 20 participation. War or no war Ukraine is one of the Eurovision power houses no doubt. In 2026 the selection followed already familiar path: Out of submitted 451 entries  15 were announced and invited for an audition where from nine made it directly to the final. The rest were put on an online vote and the winner Khayat was added to the final. Other familiar names made the cut as like last year's runner up Molodi, and two Eurovision veterans: Jerry Heil (3rd in ESC 2024 with Alyona Alyona) and Monokate (5th with Go_A in ESC 2021). Ad Olena Usenko, a member of The Elliens (6th in JESC 2021). Read more here   My favorite in the end was Laud with Jerry Heil even if her song doesn't quite fit into Eurovision stage I sup...

EUROVISION 2025 ACOUSTIC VERSIONS OF THE SEASON

The most popular and easiest alternative version to do is of course an acoustic version and there's been plenty of them this Eurovision 2025 season.... Enjoy!

EUROVISION 2025: REHEARSAL DAYS 1-2 IN PHOTOS - SEMIFINAL ONE FIRST LOOK

The infamous three (3) photos are out ( read more here ) for the semifinal one. Apparently there are no major changes the first day for what we have already seen in national finals or music videos but just updated and more polished and adapted performances for Eurovision rules (less people on stage for Sweden) and the bigger stage. Several wardrobe changes though. The day two brings more changes and even unseen before stagings to the first semifinal set. Azerbaijan is all newand apparently works fine. They have also dancers while San Marino has lost them and has instead accordion and tambourine instrumentalists along with the masked singers. Croatia has also come up with a new staging and the one from Cyprus has been a lot talked and speculated beforehand and seems to be delivering. If they only had a song to match, too! EUROVISION 2025 REVIEWS: ITALY, PORTUGAL, SERBIA AND UKRAINE

It's time to kick of the usual reviews. The opinions are all mine and if I don't like some song it's simply just not my cup of tea so to speak. If I like something you dislike or hate, it's fine, too. No stresso, no need to be depresso it's just music and tastes that re diverse and therefor beautiful! I also try to predict their success come May a little bit but as we know once the staging is out everything may change, remember Fuego and Rise like a phoenix for example? For this series I have grouped the songs in fours as usual as the songs may have similarities or something in common. Some fours came out beautifully, the others.... well not so well. Here comes the seventh part! ITALY - Lucio Corsi - Volevo essere un duro I predict another Top-5 for Italy against all fan bubble odds. Even a shock winner. The juries would like this and televoters as well. If he managed to charm Italians as a nobody in Sanremo finishing second only 0,45% behind the winner why wouldn...
