The semifinal for the Tangomarkkinat has just finished and there were little hints about the future Eurovision deal, especially in the new feature: the singers could sing any song of their choice besides the tango assigned to them. Some took a change to show off what kind of pop singer they would be singing songs like Robbie Williams's Angels, or Finnish poprock, while some completely blew it by songs like Cry me a river or Love story. In my opinion - and in the televote - the male singers out sung the females and my bet for the winner is Marko Maunuksela. His tango was Hulluna tangoon aka Takes 2 to tango. He was beaten in the televote - to visible dislike of the jurors - by Amadeus Lundberg meaning the gypsies were watching and voting as always (the Finnish version of block voting...) However I must say Amadeus (20), the youngest singer this year, possesses a very powerful and nice voice.
Here are the finalists for Saturday night and their scores tonight. One of them will be in Euroviisut 2010:
1. Amadeus Lundberg 23,9%
2. Marko Maunuksela 12,0%
3. Markus Kokkonen 11,3%
4. Kaija Lustila 10,7%
5. Eerika Grönlund 10,1%
6. Virpi Piippo 6,8%
