Mr Lordi praises Conchita Wurst in today's Ilta-Sanomat. He says he wasn't infront of the Tv when she started singing but heard the beginning of the song and thought it's a killer song. Then when he saw who is singing it he couldn't stop laughing of joy and was certain Conchita will win it for her song and visuality. "She's a freaking good looking woman with a beard, a classic freak from Circus! Why people are taking it all so serious?" he asks. "It wasn't the beard that won it, even if it was quite a statement." He says every artists wants to make himself special, to be remembered. No one wants to see casual dressed guy next-door on Eurovision stage. Conchita has a gimmick that's fun and memorable. "All sorts of people watch Eurovision and wonder if this and that artist is gay, lesbo or something. At the Eurovision itself no one wonders and asks such things, it's very tolerant there. Artists are taken as artists." He also condemns the critics. "If people are so unsure of their own sexuality they have judge and condemn others for the way the dress or act, I don't get it. It's not right."
The Azerbaijani selection show for the represant was as long as the selection process for the five finalists. Kurt Calleja from Malta and Can Bonomo from Turkey were present with Ell/Nikki to see Sabina Babayeva to emerge as the winner after each and every finalist had done about zillion songs amongst other guests. Now the Azeri TV will shop around a suitable song for her.
