There will be 18 songs and artists in the Big category. They have time until December 11, 2015 to propose a song to Conti. The artists, song titles and writers will be made public propably the week after and before Christmas anyways. As always, the song will be heard for the first time only when they are being performed live for the first time in the festival.
There will be 8 songs and artists in the newcomers category Nuove proposte, two coming from AreaSanremo selection and the rest chosen by the committee. There will be a special selection on Raiuno on November 27, 2015 where 12 artists will fight for the six places in Sanremo 2016.
Unlike the songs of the Big their entries will be widely available before they take on the stage, and apparently there will be also some kind of reality tv series to make them known beforehand.

The winners will chosen like last year with combined juries and televote. There will be the Press jury, the Expert jury and the Demoscopic jury and they will be used in various ways on various evenings.
The Big category will have an elimination of five songs on fourth night, one of them will be saved by televoters and will get back to the final with 14 songs. The 14 will become 3 in the final for the superfinal until we find out who is the winner.
The newcomers will be facing duels again where one is out, one procees to the next duel until we find out the winner. Last time the winner was Caccamo, a Franco Battiato produced Sicilian you can enjoy below.
The fourth night, Friday, that is the newcomers final also features once again the Big singing covers of songs from Sanremo's rich musical history....
