BBC has finally revealed its cards and after some big but not so succesful names they go for a newcomer, Molly Smitten-Downes. This 26-year-old caught the BBC's attention last year and was included in BBC Introducing series that has fished out some new fresh talents. Instead of taking an existing sing she has written her entry Children of the universe especially Eurovision in mind. The apparently secret video shoot leaked all over social medias and soon 1+1 was put together, even if she has been hinting about things to come in her Twitter since early February..... She's got a fantastic voice and this anthemic ballad with Disney like chants will go very far come May. Just about the time, too, UK to get its act together. PS. Here's the studio version, proving this is a song to be performed live with cheering crowds that lifts it to another universe....
The Azerbaijani selection show for the represant was as long as the selection process for the five finalists. Kurt Calleja from Malta and Can Bonomo from Turkey were present with Ell/Nikki to see Sabina Babayeva to emerge as the winner after each and every finalist had done about zillion songs amongst other guests. Now the Azeri TV will shop around a suitable song for her.
