Last but not least, the very last entry for the Eurovision song contest 2017 has been presented to us common mortals. Was it worth the wait? Yes and no. She's not Ofra Haza (bless her soul) for sure, nor Madonna (as in Frozen). The song promises a lot with good interesting ideas but fails to deliver going nowhere. Maybe it's the production that fails? Have they focused too much on the stage presentation? This said, it's still better than about two dozen other songs perhaps, simply not being the pop tune created by Eurovision clichés and attemps to please the fans (Serbia comes to mind...). Yet there's no danger we will end up in Yerevan next year.
Croatian TV went for internal selection in the end and chose Nina Badrić. She has been around for almost 20 years and has released ten albums between 1995 and 2011. She has also treid to get to Eurovision four times already without a win (1993, 1994, 1995 and 2003). She is popular also in the other ex-Yogoslavian countries so let those 12s run in.... Listen her here: Moje oci pune ljubavi , Dat ce nam Bog , Nebo and Mama . And lovely Carobno jutro .
