20.45 Here we go again. I'll be blogging the highlights and commenting the performances tonight. Enjoy!
Michelle and Claudio joined by Pierfrancesco start of talking about dreams and desires and end up in some operatic duet, that's.... well.... no comment.... After that luckily we start immedately with the Newcomers elimination round.
20.55 Lorenzo Baglioni – Il congiuntivo
The good pupil Lorenzo and his teachers engage in a choreography and bell rings in the end as finish of the subjunctive lesson. Pleasant but not among my favorites. The lyrics are gimmicky and will appeal to some parts of the public.....
21.00 Giulia Casieri – Come stai
After Lorenzo's jacket back to basics and black trouser dress. Husky dark voice but the song isn't much really.... Not among my favourites either.
Dark and dramatic, spoken song in close up. Not eexactly my cup of tea but very effective. Propably critics will love this.
The other color white for her. Her voice is like a softer version of Noemi and the song is pleasant, maybe my favorite out of these four.
The televote closes right after her, as the songs have been out there already for months....
21.18 And here are the results of tonight's demoscopic jury, so very partial result. 30%. If I understood righ one can still vote them even tomorrow? I may be wrong and a bit lost with this voting now... Maybe they will be still voted even on Friday.... No, this counts as 1/4 of the voting, or 7,5% of the total outcome (thamks Eddy!)
21.25 After the Newcomers are out of the way let's get back to business: the moving staircase! Enter the three hosts and after thanks and wonder for last night's rating success it's time to repeat the voting system and rules and then back to business. The televoting open immediately and closes afteer the last performance.
21.31 Le Vibrazioni – Così sbagliato
Radio friendly pop rock with guitars and Sarcina's voice. Nothing special nor original, but quite pleasant song to listen in the car when driving in the highway or so. ***
21.36 Nina Zilli – Senza appartenere
Nina has changed into a long beautiful - black - dress and looks fabulous as usual. She still looks a bit nervous and her voice a bit shaky at times but the song comes alive tonight and sound a lot better than last night. Still, not a masterpiece. **
21.43 Time for Il Volo! Fresh from their just finished world tour they belt out Nessun dorma.
Then follows a tribute to late Sergio Endrigo together with Claudio: Canzone per te, Sanremo winner 50 years ago and a true classic.
21.59 Diodato & Roy Paci – Adesso
Everything sounds better the second time. I kinda enjoyed this one now. Better sung, better sound - apparently there were some problems last night. Nice crescendo and feeling. **
22.07 Enter legend that is Pippo Baudo. He hosteed his first Sanremo 50 years ago, his first of 13. He has discovered Laura Pausini, Andrea Bocelli, Giorgia, Eros Ramazzotti and countless other ones, changed Sanremo in good and in bad and ... well, he IS Sanremo. And of we go with his memoires with all those years, those guests from Madonna to Whitney Houston and Brucce Springsteen, Louis Armstrong and all the rest.... He gets to present the next act making this his 14th festival. Sort of...
Another legend on stage, conductor Bebbe Vessichhio
22.21 Elio e le Storie Tese – Arrivedorci
The joke is old and tired. I was actually only waiting to see what they were but they seem to stick to the Indian theme and didn't walk in dressed as eskimos or something instead tonight. *
22.35 Enter Biagio Antonacci. This blogger approves. Even if his best songs are in the past. And of course he also duets with the host.
I have neveer been Baglioni fan but strangely I still know all these his songs.... Hmm....
22.48 Ornella Vanoni, Bungaro e Pacifico – Imparare ad amarsi
Grand old lady is in black trouser dress tonight. I'm falling big time for this beautiful ballad. The guys support her nicely and it's full of emotion and message. I'm thinking this could also do wonders in Lisbon... if only. *****
22.58 All of sudden we have them all dancing Despacito on stage......because Sanremo è Sanremo!
23.06 Red Canzian – Ognuno ha il suo racconto
The easiest and most pop song of the eevening, well sung and even if nothing original and special this one either it works and kees going like a train. Refreshing. ****
23.14 Enter Sting with Shaggy. Just so that the Sanremo songs won't be too often... sigh..... Oh, he sings in Italian! Zucchero's Muoio per te.
Then enters Shaggy and they do Don't make me wait.
23.32 After ads we're back and Baglioni on stage singing his evergreen and classic Piccolo grande amore.... with a twist.
23.40 After another grand entrance with the staricase and Michelle's red dress it's time for the next artist...

23.42 Ron – Almeno pensami
Beautiful and simple. I can't but wait for the duet with Alice Friday night. I guess this is a song tht depends on your mood how you like it. Now it's ony *** but could go up to ****

23.47 Renzo Rubino - Custodire
I don't know if he's wardrobe is some sort of statement but it's eeven uglier than yesterday. Not sure about his vocals tonight either. The melody of the chorus is very classic and evergreen, but no... not warming u to this after all. **
23.57 Baglioni duets with Il Volo, so the evening drags on and on.....
Michelle had microphone malfunction but no worries, she got help....
00.05 Annalisa – Il mondo prima di te
I'm warming up to Annalisa. The song has a nice atmosphere and it's kinda catchy. One of the very few onee could imagine in Eurovision, even if it isn't very good in that sense after all. And I don't like her look. If that matters. Another duet to look forward to Friday: Michele Bravi!****
Pierfrancesco and Michelle remind again about the Eurovision! Last night after Noemi, now Annalisa. Revolutionary!!!

00.11 Decibel – Lettera dal Duca
Finally the last song! Rock song to end the evening just like yesterday. Enrigo Ruggeri and his boys are all in black and red. Quel surprise! This is a pleasant pop rock. Nothing new or original and heard so many times before but well performed and quite catchy. ***
00.26 Enter Roberto Vecchioni..... Cool, but.... can we get the results?
Tonight's partial votes are those of the accredited media and it's quite different from the last night's demoscopic jury.....
