Eurovision makes a round of news in Italy again when Pippo Baudo (host of 13 Sanremos being also the musical director of most of them) in a talk show furiously attacks Eurovision praising Sanremo. He also proved he is completely out of touch with the reality of Eurovision saying "it has no success. It is just trash made for German TV!" when we can compare Sanremo to Eurovision: last year Sanremo was broadcasted live besides Italy only in Albania and Kosovo, while Eurovision gathered 122 million viewers all around the world. Alexander Rybak entered top-10 in iTunes in most European countries hitting number one in several. He even entered the Italian one. Who has heard the winning song from Sanremo 2009 raise your hand now! No one. Thought so. He also insist of calling it "Eurocanzone" or Eurosong while the commonly known name in Italy for Eurovision is Eurofestival. Then he goes on telling "German TV produces only programmes for idiots" One can only think that while these crampy old men - Baudo is 74 - are running and ruling RAI with their idiotic ideas and memories of the Sanremo's glory days Italy will not enter Eurovision again. One must though give Baudo's Sanremos credit for bringing us names like Zucchero, Laura Pausini, Andrea Bocelli, Giorgia and Eros Ramazzotti just to name a few but that was a long time ago. Eurovision moved ahead but Sanremo is stuck in its past. Raffaella Carrá at least tried, but RAI stopped her short last year.
Małgorzata Jamroży aka Margaret has also been tipped for Eurovision and apparently she did turn it down but she'd be perfect. She's got a look and persona you can't unnotice nor forget, she's got hit songs, she has been voted or nominated for everything from Trendy artist to the Hope of the Year, Fashion Icon and Glamour Woman of the year besides the usual best video, song, album, debut..... Oh she's also a fashion designer! She's very clever with social medias and would surely use it to her advantage if selected for Stockholm 2016. Her debut album is titled Add the blonde , do we need to say more? Except it includes mostly Swedish written pop tunes like Tell me how are ya , Wasted , Start a fire and Heartbeat . And of course her debut single and internationally noticed Thank you very much that you can enjoy below with all its anti-textil feel. I think she's Eurovision perfection, she's cheeky and fun, can we have her?
