Kristina won the first Slovakian semifinal last night with Horehronie. The song isn't bad at all but the staging is priceless: it has also the clichés of the 2000's Eurovision! Ethnic wardrobe a la Ruslana, lifting the soloist up a la Helena, ribbons a la Sertab and so on. Ad a simil ethnic drums, hunky guys dancing - mostly with no connection to the music . and voilá, that's Horehronie! Full points from both televoters and juries.
Miro Jaroš with Bez Siedmeho Neba came second using sign language and surprise: violin! Dreadful Figaro by Pavol Remenár, Klára & Liquid Error came third but far begind the two top songs.
