Sara seems to be the fan and streaming favorite and who knows if she can keep the momentum til the end. The song's title has caused some speculation as paskana (paska = shit) translates to something like I'm broken/in pieces/not well/I'm a fucking wreck and so on. One can decide if paska is a four letter word or not but it's commonly used in everyday spoken language so in the end it's not a big deal.
Sara (26) was the most googled female singer in Finland in 2023, and has been slowly doing herself known with a string of singles from 2019 and released her debut album Kaunis kun itken (Beautiful when I cry) in 2021. Her songs have made to title song of reality tv series and she's been a regular performer in Miss Finland finals for some reason, maybe her stunning looks? Radios have played her songs a lot as well and indeed she has a very peculiar and recognizable voice.
And real break through to house hold spotlight came last spring with music programme Tähdet, tähdet were singers performs different genres every week and are eliminated one by one. She belted out songs like Barbie girl, The show must go on, Euphoria, Muijii stadis, Ei oo ei tuu before she was voted out placing 5th missing only the last two shows. UMK will further cement her success.
She has written Paskana with Emmi Hakala, Kaisa Korhonen and Mikko Koivunen who has also produced the track.

So, what do I think? I think I love this. She got me interested already before and I think this just may be her best song yet (She was apparently first planning to send Uusi musta to UMK, I'm glad she didn't). Her voice fits nicely to this very melodic and despite being kind of a ballad catchy song. The arrangement and production is rich and full in a nice way. She can sing and if she delivers the good and emotions when it matters I'd be more than happy to send her off to Malmö and expect another good showing for Finland as most everyone seems to be sending something a bit weird or a bit too original and different. A good solid proper song always wins in my book. And this is one of those. Despite the title.
