Belgium - Eliot - Wake up ***
That jacket, those hand moves, those drums... why? Yet somehow it works. Eliot seems vocally ok but he looks a bit scared and not connected with the song as it feels like all his energy and concentration is focused on that simple choreography. On the other hand we are far from Blanchesque disaster in rehearsals and in the end she delivered in the final. I hope Eliot makes it there and delivers, too.
Georgia - Oto Nemsadze - Keep on going *
This one is apparently gaining momentum but I find it all a bit aggressive and scary, like some apocalyptical musical's show stopper number. Georgia is also in the middle of a minor case of scandal as the song has political undertones of Great Georgia and Oto's call for Georgians all over Europe to vote for the homecountry have made headlines. And I believe they do and push this to the final that it doesn't deserve.
Australia - Kate Miller-Heidke - Zero gravity *****
This year's innovation award goes to Australia no doubt. They bring on stage something so different and stunning it totally hides whatever the song lacks and you just watch in awe and end up voting this. The graphics are great, she looks stunning in her Statue of Liberty inspired look. I'd love to hate this but this is kind of guilty pleasure and the performance joy to look at, that I simply must give in: I like this! And I believe televoters will, too. The juries.... maybe.
