EUROVISION 2019: SECOND REHEARSAL FOR LATVIA, ROMANIA AND DENMARK

 Latvia - Carousel - That night ***
One of the underdogs. Nobody seems to like this song but I find it relaxing and a lot more real than several other here. The staging is minimal and quite beautiful and fitting and if they manage to ooze some emotion and realness to this come voting time we might have a shock qualifier also thanks to Latvian diaspora. One can live in hope, right?
 Romania - Ester Peony - On a Sunday ***
I must say I somehow like the staging, it's a bit weird and busy but it's pretty, at least that part I can see in the video. Ester and her boys sport some sexy Dracula like fashion fantasies and I don't really know what anything is to do with something here?! All this said I don't really care for the song and I wouldn't be so sure this will qualify, it depends on how it comes across on screen when the voting happens I suppose...
Denmark - Leonora - Love is forever **
Well, this is the basicly the same old we already saw in the Danish final. Leonora still stares the screen a bit too intensively and makes you a bit uncomfortable and I'm not so sure about her vocals either. The song is happy little Danish number that will appeal for those hearing it for the first time so we can't rule this one totally out yet....

ESC 2016 WISH LIST: MARGARET FOR POLAND

Małgorzata Jamroży aka Margaret has also been tipped for Eurovision and apparently she did turn it down but she'd be perfect. She's got a look and persona you can't unnotice nor forget, she's got hit songs, she has been voted or nominated for everything from Trendy artist to the Hope of the Year, Fashion Icon and Glamour Woman of the year besides the usual best video, song, album, debut..... Oh she's also a fashion designer! She's very clever with social medias and would surely use it to her advantage if selected for Stockholm 2016. Her debut album is titled Add the blonde , do we need to say more? Except it includes mostly Swedish written pop tunes like Tell me how are ya , Wasted , Start a fire and Heartbeat . And of course her debut single and internationally noticed Thank you very much that you can enjoy below with all its anti-textil feel. I think she's Eurovision perfection, she's cheeky and fun, can we have her?

Well, almost. Now that Azerbaijan has risen up to the Top-5 in beting odds to win it all with Chingiz's Truth they are not holding it back and all tricks are welcome to attire some attention. ESC 2015: POLINA GAGARINA THEN AND NOW

28-year-old Polina started her career in a tv-talent show (just like Måns and Il Volo). After winning it she though joined a girlband before going solo. She managed to release her debut album before marrying and having a child and gaining 20 kilos (to those extra 20 kilos she claims she had back then). The marriage failed, she started her career again, released another album, lost her 40 kilos, dyed her hair blond and had a string of hits and even had time to remarry and show off her new naked body in a men's magazine before she heard a million voices. Now that's a trasformation!

EUROVISION 2018 DAY 2: FIRST REHEARSAL FOR MACEDONIA, CROATIA, AUSTRIA

The rest of the semi-final one acts rehearse today for the first time, including Finland. Macedonia - Eye Cue - Lost and found Macedonia takes lead from their music video and they have a drummer and three backing singers on stage, while Marija interacts with all them with or without Bojan. Fucsia minidress for her. Another close up start apparently, and another let's walk to the stairs for the finale. Judging the comments it seems they did it all right and vocally fine. Looking good for them then. Maybe. This song is musically such a mess one needs time to digest it and an average televoter doesn't have it. But isn't that dress a bit too short....? "Sultry", "Cool beats", "Great chemistry", "Unfinished", "Not instant" Croatia - Franka - Crazy Another close up start?
