The club gig part of the UMK didn't give so much food of thought that I expected. My favourite Kaisa Vala did well and so did Mica Ikonen, who has slowly become another favourite of mine. The judges said they had their top-3 very easy: Stig, Pernilla Karlsson and Iconcrash. Mica Iconen, Kaisa Vala and Ville Eetvartti got mixed reviews but made it as well. The Spyro was voted by the internet poll to the club gig but the jury wasn't impressed and kicked them out. The jury had hard time deciding between Freeman and Aili. Freeman because they think he isn't serious and once again his backing band Uusi Fantasia was nowhere to be seen. Aili did better than in studio but still came across rather timid and shaky.
So, now people will vote five songs directly to the final and the jury will pick up one of the two. Does that make any sense I don't know but apparently in the final there is only televote.
As a personal note I find it hard to believe any of these songs will make people fall in love with it and get a nationwide support for Baku 2012. If there was a song like that it would be already all over the place and instead these songs aren't anywhere yet despite being available since October.... Sad but true.
