Nina Zilli debuts in Sanremo amongst the Big after being the success of the newcomers in 2010. She didn't win but collected the awards for the best live performance, critics award named after late Mia Martini and Premio Assomusica with L'uomo che amava le donne. Before that she had already released singles 50mila with Giuliano Palma, L'inferno and The Supremes cover L'amore verrà. During Sanremo she released her debut album Sempre lontano. Another track, Bacio d'a(d)dio followed. Last year she was the guest artist on one night in Sanremo in Io confesso of La Crus. And now Nina is ready to take on Sanremo again with Per sempre and is a front runner for Baku 2012 as well if you ask this blogger! She is fully bilingual after childhood spent in Ireland and later two years in the United States, New York and Chicago where she added Motown to her influences right between punk rock and reggae. And guess what? I wrote this post more than three weeks ago, when I was planning a series of posts about the Sanremo artists. Due busy schedule and a bit of lack of interest I never got to write the other posts and kept pushing this further and further to the future for pubblication and just a couple of days ago I was very close of deleting this as "useless". And now, it's very useful. What a scary but happy coincidence! :-) All I needed to do was to add the link to Per sempre vieo and change the title from Sanremo to Eurovision!
