The Greek final will take place tonight. Amongst the song writers familiar names like Nikos Terzis, Gerard James Borg and Finnish Martti Vuorinen. And just for the fun of it some rejects here and here. And I officially don't have a favourite so I don't care who wins :-)
LIVE REPORT: After 47 minutes of nonsense we finally got to the business. Kokkina Halia was rather bland causing only indifference. Valanto gave good vocals and the song's not bad but maybe just not strong enough, is it? Trihmitonio: I suppose they are supposed to be funny? Anyways, rather catchy in irritating way, sounds like a kiddie's song.... Not a winner I think. Antigoni should leave the dancing to the dancers and concentrate on singing as her vocals wer a bit off here and there and didn't seem to fit in the otherwise rather nice choreography. Shame for the song's very monotonous arrangements as it has potential but becomes very dull after a minute or so.... Could have been great but as it is now it is not.... Loukas & Stereo Mike - the most interesting entry of tonight. Loukas has great vocals and very Greek bits in the song but the Mike's rapping never really takes off.... Still, my favourite so far! Nikki seems to be the favourite and the most likely winner and it is ok if you like shaky vocals, boring song heard about a zillion times before hidden under a gay beat. It will be the top favourite by the fans and lead the betting odds but will never win Eurovision.... might even struggle to qualify if it didn't come from Greece....
This Greek final must be the most boring and uninspired effort this year. Is the presenter alive? She seems so bored of life...Where's the audience? In Bulgaria at least they had the applause on tape, lol. Here Cypriot Mylordos and Maltese Glen seemed to be jumping around play-back in an empty space.... Hello, this is TV! Not radio.
